Is the deadline 5 min before our pick, or before pick one of the draft? I thought it was before our pick, apologies if i misread the rule. if its before our pick, then yes we have seen either 19 or 20 picks already occur, subtracting possibly many players someone might choose today

Its 5 minutes before the draft day starts so you can't make your choice after lots of players have been chosen that day. It shows the divergence of opinion when all players are on the board.

Hanging around for draft day rumors and then penciling something in is not kosher.

The draft starts 5PM Thursday, so all choices should be in by then. You can edit your picks also up until 5 PM if you hear a draft rumor that you believe. Se original post.

* he'll fall due to poor 40 time, where he'll meet up with a GM who doesn't care about 40 times.
Branch will be what Chris Harris was not able to become in Staley's D ..... something Staley spoke about at the time; plus, he's a good tackler: something this D needs
** Telesco and Staley want someone who can contribute right away, something Branch will do: high football IQ, high character guy.

2nd round: Derek Hall
* they need a solid backup for the duo of Bosa/Mack: but they don't want to waste a first rounder on a guy who will sit on important downs
** they want someone who can contribute, but who they can develop and who will learn behind Bosa/Mack

I think the guys we are likely interested in are probably known by other teams. And we get leapfrogged for those players. So TT takes the safe pick Michael Mayer after watching a couple teams move up in front of us. Maybe guys like Gibbs or Flowers are targets that teams will want to move in front of us for. Maybe Addison as well. I know not a popular player here...but he is with teams.
