Last years was a bunch of complimentary guys...this year legit #1 types. I have no problem going back to back WR. I know we need D and other positions. But i want firepower. QJ is not a big high point target buy certainly has a role if we can just figure that out. But i still want Herbert developing his chemistry with young guys early in his career. Have to get this offense firing.

If we end up in the top 10 he will be someone in my cluster. And there will be D players as well. But a stud #1 guy who teams are freaked out over would do us some good. Bowers. Coleman. McKinstry. Newton. Odunzwe. Alt. All guys i really like in that top 10 range. I think we draft 15-20 most likely however.

Absolutely have to get the offense going! We can't waste Herbert's talents. I wasn't real high on last year's receivers in the 1st round. I was surprised when they chose QJ. Having said that, I think he will find his niche and the Chargers will figure out how to use him. Similarly, I wasn't fond of the choice of MW @#7 several years ago. I warmed up to the pick as they found his niche.

To me, the secondary is so frustrating. I felt like I saw this coming (even 2 years ago)... but nothing was done to address it. Some will say they tried (through the signing of JCJ). But I didn't think he was a fit... and I was concerned with the length and price of the contract. I don't want to go all 20/20 hind-sight... but the issue is there. We have to address it. If not in the 1st round, then the 2nd round.

If we go WR in the 1st and CB in the 2nd... I'd live with that. I think the CB class starts to drop off after the 2nd round (although I haven't studied it too deeply). I almost always look at the draft from the back-end. Which positions are really deep...? Can you get steals in the later rounds at certain positions. Which positions seem to have clusters in certain rounds...?

Very early but bored and had this on my mind.

For the 2024 season, these are the moves i made trading/cutting players.

These are Pre June 1st moves.

Traded Joey for a 2nd...cap savings of 14.38 mil, ...deadcap of 22.2 mil

Traded MW for a 3rd...cap savings of 20 mil, ... dead money of 12.4 mil

Signed....hard to gauge market values but looked at some others comparible. Not sure if this is too little or too much for Biadasz.

OC Tyler Biabasz to 4 years/36 mil

CB Jaylon Johnson 4 Yrs/ 32 mil

Resigned Kenneth Murray to a decent contract. Not too much, 2 years 11 mil....and he hasnt derserved too much as he hasnt produced til this year. Keeps it up, he can score later.

Extended Keenan 2 years and redid Keenans deal for a lower cap from 34 mil to 24 mil for 2024, is lower in 2025.
