looking @Latu, he could give you pause when looking @his run D/ability to seal the edge, the fact that he is 23 and has been going up against younger players across the line from him, and his neck injury.

what he does have is the production, hand use, and for myself the deciding factor.... I like his intangibles.

and we'll see what he weighs in at and what his other numbers are, and.... seems to have some Shawne Merriman to him ??

(would be nice if someone could dredge/come up w/some Waldo explosion index/figures for him.... not to mention the other pass rush prospects)
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
ED Malcom Koonce, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, QB Gardner Minshew, TE Jelani Woods, P Matt Araiza

I know, I’m missing an Edge in this one. Hopefully after cuts, extensions and restructures, they will have some money to sign a good rotational depth piece behind Mack and Tuli like AJ Epenesa.
      what about Dorance Armstrong ??

Seems they can find players in any round.

NT Kobie Turner who they drafted in the 3rd round this year is a rookie. He has 9 sacks, 8 TFL and a lot of QB pressures. He is 6'2", 288 lbs. He has only started 4 games but played in 16.

So he and Donald (who has 8 sacks)are under 290 and playing DT and NT.

Rams just know how to find good players.

        Or

They have great coaches as Turner last season at Wake Forest only had 2 sacks & 10 TFL in 13 games.

Playing in the slot vs playing outside doesn't make you a worse/better CB now days. Brandon Staley played Ramsey in the slot in 2020... and the Rams became the #1 scoring defense in the NFL. Teams are often in nickel/dime... the Chiefs do it more than most teams. The important thing to remember... McDuffie can play anywhere and never comes off the field. He's also the better tackler than the 3 you listed.

Would I like McDuffie over Gardner, Ramsey, or Surtain...? That's a tough call. Maybe... if I wanted the best tackler on the field. The better question is... would I like him over Zion Johnson...? Hell yes! Or the other question... was JCJ worth all of that dead money sitting against our 2024 cap...? Hell no!

I mean isn't there another site that does something similar? PFF makes me cringe.
Snead was getting torched in 2021. Then KC went nickel/dime heavier than anyone in the league. They went from 31st pass defense to 1st over that year. McDuffie was a big part of that. So was Jaylen Watson (another Nutty favorite). Who do you see as our dime personnel...?

I’m totally down for a Dorance Armstrong for rotational depth. Good player from a good defense.

if that helps justify a top 6 pick on him.
I just watched 4 "Georgia Offense vs 2023" condensed games.
Bowers is good... but I don't see him as "WR flexible". I see him as physically gifted (for a TE).
His greatest ability is to get in and out of breaks. In that respect, he is WR-like. But measured against real WR's ability...? No. He won't be beating up on college LB's in the NFL.

Fellas, Georgia's offense is STACKED! They may be fundamentally the best coached team in college football history. On top of that, Kirby schemes people open with masterful play design. He is what I had hoped Kellen Moore would be. Every new play... a new playmaker. There is no way to concentrate on any one offensive player in that offense... which is why Bowers is often wide open. I even watched the Georgia vs Florida game... a game Brock didn't even play in. They were even short Sedrick Van Pran. Didn't matter... Georgia destroyed them. When people say there are 12 players on that team that will end up in the NFL... I believe them. It only convinces me more... if your OL can dominate the LOS, your offense will be unstoppable. Jamaree Salyer must have been shaking his head in dis-belief this last training camp...

                  1st rd- CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
                  2nd rd- DT Kris Jenkins
                  3rd rd- RB Braelon Allen
                  3rd rd- WR Roman Wilson
                  4th rd- TE Cade Stover
                  5th rd- OL Jack Nelson
                  6th rd- LB Michael Barrett
                  7th rd- OL Andrew Raym
7th rd- RB Keilan Robinson (Possible Compensatory Pick)

Solid job, brother! Way to step up and snag Kris Jenkins in the 2nd round... big balls! Keep an eye on him in the National Championship game... he does a lot of un-noticed things for that defense. Are you thinking offensive center thru free agency...?

I liked McDuffie too so I'm not being negative about him but for Snead that was 2 years ago. He was a 4th round pick and started every game since his second season. Started 6 as a rookie. So there again, like TEs we can find CBs later as well. May take some time. our CBs get torched still and ASJ was a 2nd round pick. Of course none more than Tostada.

As for our personal, I don't even know who our DC will be or what scheme we will be in. Hopefully a 4-3 but there will be a lot of new players. We are going to need a lot this off-season.

Bowers plays fast. He is far more sudden in his moves than Everett. You are right he won't be beating up college LBs but he will be a better weapon for Herb on offense.
Kincaid has showed very well since he took over week 8 and I think Bowers is better over all....and I wanted us to draft Kincaid last year. But had both he and Bowers been in the same draft, id take Bowers

Florida St I've read sat 20 players. All their offensive skill guys. Fiske didn't play and other defenders so yeah Georgia stomped them. Wont be long and Kirby will get NFL offers if not this year. No idea if he has NFL aspirations. He is a good recruiter anyways.

Snead was just so-so before McDuffie got there... that was my point. Maybe you're right... maybe Snead improved his technique, needed time to develop, and was on this trajectory even without McDuffie's presence. Maybe we can find a hidden gem CB in the 4th round. But we better get real lucky, real soon... because the cupboard is bare @CB. And ASJ will be a FA after 2024. Even Philly (with all it's offensive fire-power) looks to be 1-and-done in the playoffs with that pass defense.

I'm not saying we should wait til round 4, I'm just saying.
I'm also glad Telesco isn't doing the drafting anymore.

Can't hurt to get some better scouts hired as well. No fucking way McKitty and Mager should be drafted in round 3
