No one can deny the otherworldly capabilities of Brock Bowers.
With the idea of leaving no stone unturned. I ask everyone this...
We drafted @ #7 overall Mike Williams, similarly explosive, with injury concerns not unlike BB.
Should we be concerned about durability ????
    We play modern Harball.

Mike Williams had a broken neck in college, Bowers sprained his ankle and recovered in 2 weeks, you can't be serious in eqating the two?

        Or calling MW explosive!
Yeah he out high points guys but that's about it. Explosive denotes a suddeness, as in hitting the jets and accelerating. That's not MW( or any other Charger for that matter, save for maybe Davis)

No proponent of BB needs to be defensive.
I am asking for opinions, based upon observing the respective play styles of MW and BB.
We will be drafting at about the same slot, 6 or 7.
          We play modern Harball.

There were years when MW led the NFL in yards per reception by a wide margin.

I think QJ can be explosive. Not ready to give up on him yet. Interested to see how he does under a new HC. Oh and I don't think there is to much concern for Bowers. The guy is an animal..lol
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

                That's not explosive.
Explosive is just what it says- BOOM and your gone! When is the last time you saw a Charger, LA or otherwise, hit a seem and take it to the house? THAT'S explosive.
Getting open in space just means you're a good route runner( an excellent trait for a WR) not explosive.

Once QJ learns how to get open against the best DB's on the planet, and actually catch the football, yes, he could have that ability to hit a seam in full stride and out sprint everyone to the endzone.
                  Be exciting when it happens.

Mike Williams has injury concerns due to his acrobatic way of making catches. He goes all out and sprawls to the ground in vulnerable positions, agreed ?

My point about Bowers is this. He bangs around a lot, with a physical style and lots of yardage after violent contact. He is very big and very fast. Injury must be a consideration. That is my personal observation.

What do you all think...risk/reward ?

We're going in circles with this! Yes the TE position is very physical! Bowers does not have a history of injuries playing the position other than one sprained ankle that he recovered from in two weeks! MW plays another position entirely and he has a long history of injuries from a broken neck to a blown out knee, to back problems!

                        Good post.

There are 3 players on Michigan i like. Jenkins, Colson and Sainrisil. Ok 4, I like Roman Wilson too. I also am not real high on Corum.

Looking at LBs lately I agree on Gray, ...Colson and another is Payton Wilson. Thing with him he does not look the 238lbs I've seen him listed and he isn't really build like a LB. More similar to Drew Sanders. Not saying he has a skinny body, he just isn't stout looking. Oh and I like Texas LB Jaylen Ford.

Wouldn't mind seeing him add 5 to 10 lbs to bulk up a little. We'll see how he shows up at the combine. If he wants to be a bit bigger or run fast. Either way, we got a weight room

Michigan often uses a two TE set. I don't think he did that in SF....I think, so I wonder which he prefers? Or that's what works best for his personnel.
