Have all of the Koolaid drinkers scouted DeJean and Wiggins? I see those two rated higher by more than one “expert” but I know experts can be wrong so … who’s reviewed all of their tape and can offer insights? And yes, DJ is not the only pundit to rate Arnold over Koolaid though I have no idea if they are right either.

The only rumored 40 time for Koolaid I know of is 4.55 and that is not fast enough to cover the elite NFL WRs in man. That time could be way wrong, we’ll find out at the combine as he’s gonna have to run and change that perception - that seems to be the only thing holding his evaluations down. I don’t see great 40 times being posted for DeJean or Wiggins either so … ?

DJ had QJ going to the Bills @#27 last year... but in another QJ analysis, DJ said this:


So was QJ a WR that was a guy that needed to develop... work on some of his inconsistencies... a WR that would need to be used on deeper routes or underneath drag routes (in order to maximize his longer-strides...?

I didnt read a lot of discussion he was a development project from those that supported his pick. Wasn’t it Wu that was his #1 proponent right after drafted?

I hope he does work this off season and busts out next year. He has a lot of physical talent.

It's a cliche for a reason.

Go look at the 49ers teams of the 80's and 90's. Their offense was always top-10. But the only years they won SB's were the years their defense was top-5. They used to lose playoff games when their defenses were ranked lower.

This year, the #1-4 scoring defenses are: Baltimore, Chiefs, 49ers, Buffalo respectively.
There are no accidents. These teams have been picking the premium positions (OT/DE/CB/WR) for several years now.
There have been 2 TE's (Hayden Hurst and Kincaid) chosen in late 1st round. Hurst didn't make it to his 2nd contract with Baltimore. The Bills offense gained 9 extra yards (and 6 fewer passing TD's this year.

Again ill say, The Bill starting CBs right now are 4th and 3rd rounders. Their first rounders been hurt for weeks. Elam finally is playing again but is listed as a backup behind Benford...(who is out this week) as he has missed so much time. Rashul Douglas (3rd round) is likely to start this week. Rapp is out this week as well.

Chiefs starting CB is a 6th rounder.

BTW... Rome Odunze has been on my radar for 2 years now. He was my #1 WR in last year's draft... before he went back to college.
In my Top-10 list.

The 3 QB's fit there because they are most important... and there are 5 or 6 teams in need.
After/before that is Marvin Harrison (best player in the draft IMO)
2 OT's (Alt and Fashanu)
2 more WR's (Rome and Nabers)
2 DE's (Latu and Turner)
1 TE (Bowers)
1 CB (Kool-Aid)

That's my Top-12. 5-12 are very close in talent level IMO. All but the TE are traditional premium positions. I put Bowers there because of his unique skills.

I don't see off the charts athleticism but man-o-man. His catch percentage is elite. This dude is like having a Quentin Johnston with great hands.

Buf is top 4 O and D, KC is not but they have Mahomes and Kelce.

66. DI T'Vondre Sweat, Texas

Sweat has been one of the most impactful defensive linemen in college football. He has earned elite grades as a run defender and pass-rusher this season, all while weighing in at 360 pounds. He's far more explosive than the average nose tackle.

still not seeing anyone that I'd take ahead of him round two....

drafting back 2 back DTs has shown to be a recipe for success in the past....

Solid analysis. I can’t figure out the Odunze/Nabers order … I know Fleet is strong on Rome. A few pundits are, but more prefer Nabers. I still the Chargers need an elite TE more than WR and I think bowers jumps off the chart in talent - but its really almost a pick-em call for me and I can see picking either of them.

OT is the traditional advice - can’t complain about a pick there but I’m not convinced either of those top two are really all-world like some years and will make a huge difference. We need a better scheme, better coaching and better OC calling plays.

I don’t know enough about Latu’s prior injury. Turner is good but benefited from a great overall roster too. Edge is critical of Mack and Bosa are both going to be moved. Nothing in your list for DL - I think we are very weak there but I don’t see a Top 10 talent in that group.

56. C Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon

Powers-Johnson has graded very well at several offensive line positions over the past three seasons and found a more stable home at center in 2023. His wrestling background gives him very good core strength and balance for redirection and maintaining blocks. His pas level is a bit high, which is the root of most of his negative plays. The rest of his game is well-rounded; he has a starting-caliber combination of power and movement skills for guard or center.

64. RB Jonathon Brooks, TEXAS

At over six feet tall and over 200 pounds, Brooks shows impressive wiggle, agility, body control and long speed for a player with his build. He's been one of the most productive backs in the country and is in the conversation to be the first back selected if he declares.

these two guys along w/Sedrick Van Pran Granger are need picks round three.... not in love w/the any of 'em, other than we def have needs @RB & the OC.

still a Cedric Gray guy as don't think he lasts 'til day three, and really see an opportunity to majorly upgrade our front 6.

do think we're gonna end up w/two round three selections.... personally would take the LB & an RB, and look OC in FA.

the two guys on my radar round four are RB Audric Estime and S Cole Bishop, and.... leaning toward the latter.

round five guys are WR J. Michael Sturdivant and RB Daijun Edwards, and of which prefer the latter.

round six is QB Joe Milton in my book, and....

round seven LB Eric Gentry is the only guy left on my watchlist.
