Early. And often. Beef. It's what Joe Hortiz will be ordering on draft day.

I suppose a FA center could be the direction we go. But with the cap the way it is... I foresee center being a legitimate target in the 2nd round.
You're right... IDL must be a draft target, too. But IMO, 2nd round center and 3rd round IDL looks like BPA meets PON.
OT/OG may have to wait. DE may get addressed... depending on Mack/Bosa decision. But I suspect it's 3rd round at the earliest this draft.
CB, LB, TE, RB... maybe even mid/late round safety and/or WR...
Trade back scenario seems inevitable.
Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

With a double trade down to the early 20’s, you could potentially pick up a 2 and 2-3s. Then draft our #1 need, JPJ at center, in the first. It’s the highest probability way to get him in this draft. And this looks like a very good top 100 this year for those 3 extra early picks.Last edited by Formula 21; 02-10-2024, 01:03 PM.Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

FWIW. Kyle Pitts had 1000yd season as rookie with Matt Ryan throwing to him.
injured year 2. And played well this year. In a bad offense with bad QB play.
I think he scares teams in a way Bowers does not because Pitts has shown he can shake a CB and get open. Plus he is 6'6 and can run. Bowers routes are not great. Seen him run dig routes right into defender. Useless ineffective route. Also rounds his routes too much. And then so many of his plays at Georgia he was scheme wide open, that those yards and TDs aren't very impressive. I try and watch him to see what I like. And I find he has great straight speed and is tough to tackle. That not enough for me to draft him that high. And I'm curious if he really is 6'4. He doesn't seem that tall to me.
Everyone seems to love Brock. And I want to see what you guys see in him, but I can't find many impressive snaps where I say wow, that guy shook the CB so badly. Or damn they put 2 guys on him and he won anyway. I've seen Pitts shake CB and win vs a double team many times.
I dont see NFL defense feeling the need to double Bowers. And if they do, I would be surprised if he beat the double team.
But it's just my view of things.

I have a hunch that our new GM will trade out of that pick to get the extra picks. So, our discussion about Bowers won't mean much.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

But then I looked at how is he getting open.
And it's often scheme. The WRs run deep and clear the area, he runs behind that after motion and good blocking by Georgia created the space. The defense doesn't have anyone within 10 Yards of him. By design. He catches and runs vs college kids. I keep trying to find him running a dagger where he smoked the CB and got wide open because of his moves at top of route. And I can't find it. I doubt any HC or OC or GM would says let's feature Brock Bowers like Georgia did. Get him the ball as often as we can. He ain't that guy once he is at the NFL..
Kyle Pitts can be featured as TE, as he can and does shake CB often. And can and does win vs double team. If I'm drafting a TE that high, he has to have Kyle Pitts type of talent. If Atlanta finds a QB or Pitts finds a team with QB. Kyle would have 1000yd per season every year.
I'd trade Bosa and pick #5 to Falcons for Pitts and pick #8.
