    Trade down with Falcons.
    Atlanta gets the #5 pick.
The Chargers get Kyle Pitts and the #8, pick with which they draft Rome Odunze.
Or the Chargers get the #8 pick (and pick Odunze) plus the Falcons' 2nd round pick, #74.

I could jive with this. The only thing better would be somehow getting Bijan in that deal instead. Might have to give them our second rounder in addition to do that deal.

The ATL fans would love that. They are not impressed with Pitts. I think he’s worth a day 3 pick in a trade tops. So I don’t believe the Bolts get enough from that trade.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
      Let’s win one for Mack.

        I still wouldn't do it.

Palmer and QJ are on the roster and we can get another WR at 69 , 104 or any picks in between we may pick up.

I know most are down on QJ but he isn't the first WR drafted high to have a rough start. He isn't our first receiver drafted high to have a rough start.

Davonte Adams, the Raiders 25m a year guy had near identical rookie stats to QJ. I'm not counting him out at all.

For some reason if we pass on WR in the first round I would seriously look at using round 2 for a top prospect that may drop to us at #37.

Valuing Pitts as a late second round pick

Second round pick would be pick 43 - which is good

Wouldn't do it for just pick 74

Bowers for me is a go at 5 but much prefer a trade down for him.

WR ill continue to say is a no way we doing that unless we let go both KA and MW. If KA stays, WR isn't happening at 5.
KA probably isn't going to stay at his level for that much longer and he hasn't finished a season playing for a while! If MHJ is there at 5 you have to seriously consider it!

In regard to Newton I'm saying more if Alt and MHJ are not there @ 5 and they miss on Bowers being there after a trade down a good option 3 could be drafting the top D player on the board!

Also trust me there are pundits like you and I who regard Newton as top 10 talent! Dude is incredible with how he uses his hands with his technique!

I really like Brenden Rice or Luke McCaffrey in the 4th! In the 3rd I would love to land RB- Audric Estime and Jaylen Wright, and maybe Mike Sainristil if we somehow had 3 3's!

Here’s the RB nobody is talking about, a big, productive, two down back who looks perfect for Harbaughs pound the ball philosophy. He’s PFFs #1 college back. And he’s available late.

                  Isaiah Davis.

                  Current Draft Projection and Summary

Davis grades out as an early Day 3 prospect on my board, who could feasibly enter top-100 range with a good offseason showing. Davis might not have the most passing-down utility among his 2024 NFL Draft counterparts, but he’s one of the most prolific early-down backs in the class, and his style translates.

One of the biggest knocks on Davis is that he doesn’t have elite athleticism. His explosiveness, while solid, is only that, and he has average long speed in space.

However, Davis compensates with his short-area energy, snappy feet, and impressive creative freedom for his size. He’s also just as impressive on the attack.

At around 6’0″, 220 pounds, Davis has an extremely dense frame, with excellent play strength. He also brings elite contact balance and forward-pressing physicality at the second level.

Davis can bounce off tackles and grate out tough yards, but he’s just as good at creating space for himself. His passable athletic foundation is emboldened by his quick processing ability, vision, and improvisational instincts in the backfield.

He’s a runner who can snake through narrow spaces with his footwork and vision, then finish runs as a hammer, exploding ahead.

Davis’ lack of long speed may hurt him on some teams’ boards, and there’s also some uncertainty with his passing-down projection. He’s quietly a good route runner who’s improved his hands, but Davis has never had high-level volume as a receiver. He’s also not a proven pass blocker, either.

Nevertheless, as a quality early-down back with visible receiving upside, Davis carries clear mid-round appeal. He’ll be an exceptional rotational back early on in his NFL career, and in time, he could emerge as a true early-down engine, with the capacity for heavy volume, particularly in positive game scripts.

If Keenan plays 2-3 more seasons, we have 2-3 more drafts to get another a WR, plus one in this deep class. Id be real happy to draft Rice's kid or Roman Wilson.
I do not see a problem there.

We'll see what happens with his contract or how long he extends.

Just hope we can get 3 to 4 extra picks from trade down and trading a couple of our players.

Davis sounds like a Harbaugh RB alright.

Really like Alt, even at 5. But, I keep coming back to, Salyer’s worst day at LT (when he filled in for Slater) was still better than any day Pip ever had at this level. Might be wrong, but that’s my memory and I would be very interested to see how the new OL coach thinks of them both.
