I like the trade down scenarios even if I’m uncertain about the position picked.

MN at 11 is tricky as they do not have a 3rd round pick - and a 4th isn't enough - so maybe a future pick in 2025. Or something like MN gives there second and the Chargers flip back a 4th

I would try to trade down as many times as possible all the way out of the first round. As long as you are getting back good value, 2nd or 3rd round picks in 2024 or 2025.
I think the quality is good in those rounds and the team needs a lot of fresh young players at so many positions. It’s possible to turn the #5 pick into 4 or 5 players, if there are trading partners.

Also, Chargers could then trade back with the Falcons after they traded back with the Giants. After a double trade back, I would make a pick @ 8 and move on. @ 8 Chargers will have a chance to get the player they want and have some extra picks in the top 100 and maybe a couple picks in 2025. My pick at #8 would be Bowers but that is just me.Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

And yes i too would like to move back and get him...but if i wanted him that bad? He has Aiyuks hands and routes...he has Deebos YAC...and blasts guys like Henry....and does everything Kittle does. You put all those players names together? You get Doubletake.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

There are other interesting prospects, such as Jaheim Bell and Erick All (although it's doubtful that Harbaugh will draft him after he transferred from Michigan to Iowa, and his father didn't speak highly of Harbaugh). We shall see.
Bell is a good receiving weapon but don’t know he’s very good at blocking. Harbaugh 12 sets need TEs that can block in the run game. It’s one of the primary butters on his bread.
Reverse for All - he’s almost an extra lineman but he’s very plodding and predictable as a receiver, he can grind out some under routs with body positioning like a power forward, but he’s not gonna be explosive at all. huge delta from Bowers and the couple I mentioned and him - or so I think. Wtf do I know eh?
Bowers is the complete package - I still think he’s generational perennial pro bowl and Herbie’s BFF
Sanders is a giant man-boy out there vs college kids. Can improve on blocking but he’s got the frame and could do it. Fast in routes for a TE.
Stover is your prototype Best B10 TE - not the the most explosive receiver threat but better than average and a steady extension of the OL.
Sinnot looks like the real sleeper in the draft for early Day3 steal. Underappreciated, he’s stout and strong inline, I saw a clip of him pulling around and blasting two different defenders out of the same play. and he is a better receiving weapon than recognized. Great hands too, huge target, he could be a good player.
Those are my 4 in order. We REALLY need a TE who can block AND is a threat downfield for Harbaugh’s tough football team vision.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”
