and yes again, not overly smitten w/any of the CBs early, albeit if Arnold or McKinstry was there @37 would be @least intrigued.... like Lassiter there some as well (don't see you mention his name much ?)

and am all about Sweat round two, but if I didn't have NT blinders on, there are plenty others there to mull over.... Trice, Suamataia, McConkey ???

round three would be nice if Sedrick stayed on board 'til 69, and there are others.... Brooks, Brendan Rice, Zanter, Estime, and your guy JC.... still like Cedric Gray there, as well as Cole Bishop, and Daijun is sneaking into late round three consideration in @least one big board of late....

and there are some Voch Lombardi guys still slotted for round four, altho plenty of peoples say there's nothin' left come day three.... Voch liked Christian Jones, DeWayne Carter, and he really liked Gabe Hall.... personally am watching the likes of Ben Sinnott and Luke McCaffrey.
Mims is a dancing bear. I have Fuaga and Mims right around 13 and 14.
Arnold, I barely have him in the 1st. Too grabby and the technique isn't nearly as good as McKinstry. Lassiter has the same problem... too grabby, a bit stiff in the hips, and doesn't get his head around.

Sedrick won't last until #69. Movement skills are better than JPJ or Frazier. I know you like Sweat... but there are so many DT's! Leonard Taylor is the one DT I might take in the 2nd (if we had 2).

I have no idea why people are fixated on offensive weapons. A 3rd or 4th round RB... I get that. We're gonna run the ball! Oh, and throw it to KA, JP, and QJ. And, yes, there are good TE's in the 3rd/4th.

After we trade a couple players away for 3rd's... and trade back for a couple more... people are gonna love this draft.

Free agency. Already starting to see some creativity from Hortiz with Linsley. Who time leading up to the draft is good times. Big window shopper.

Of course it is! Tennessee would be the only other team in need of a TE (and they already have a decent one). They would take an elite WR over Bowers. But what they really need is a LT. The Jets need a LT badly! There's your trade partner... @#10.

^ This...okay, Derwin, it's me, Wu and u and the faithful few banging the table to FINALLY end our O-line woes by taking Alt @#5 and JPJ with our next pick...do we really want to go through ANOTHER year of seeing Herbie get hit and sacked time after time, then injured again, because our O-line stinks? I don't. Let's finally put an end to the pitiful parade of OT JAGS and busts, including Pip, Storm, Clary, Barksdale, Fluke, etc. etc. etc...and choose ALT @#5...PROTECT THE FRANCHISE!!!

Do you think Bowers would make the team better than say RT Fuaga + an extra 2nd round pick...? Or RT Mims and an extra 3rd and 4th round pick...?
ever since I joined up here I'm always arguing that we need to continue to strengthen the trenches and not just on the offensive side of the ball but certainly the O-line is just so damn important and for some reason ever since AJ Smith it's been don't draft O-line high, don't pay O-line big money etc...it's ridiculous...of course I would love Fuaga plus a 2nd rounder because you are building the foundation of your team from the ground up, but would Fuaga even play in 2024? pipkins is untradable and uncuttable in 2024, so who are we sitting or moving around? where is Fuaga going to play? Bowers will play from day one at a position of need on a team that will be using multiple TE formations often...if they decide to trade down or hell even if they decide to take OT high, I'm not going to say shit, the trust I have in Harbaugh and Ortiz is off the charts so I will trust their plan, the team has shit for depth and more than a few aging starters, so it's going to take patience and a bit of time but they'll get there...

1 guy I can see dropping to us in the second who needa to be considered for value is CJ Latham.
I know his last play in college left a lot to be desired
I know what color jersey he wore in college.
I also know Roman would love him starting at ORT despite all the above.

Fuaga would start over Pipkins right away. I don't care what Pipkins is making... the better player starts.
Pipkins can play swing. There is nothing wrong with depth along the OL.

If Hortiz decides that Pipkins will be better with a new scheme and coaching staff... I can live with that. But I don't see any evidence of that to this point. If Hortiz decides to stay put @#5 and draft Bowers, I won't say shit either. I trust the new staff.

I just think it would be a shame not to maximize this #5 opportunity and build some much needed depth. IMO, the IDL and LB positions need some talent and better depth. Trading back enables us to do that. Every Harbaugh/Hortiz team has had strong trenches and LB crew. I think we can all agree that the center position needs to be addressed as well. Will it all get done in one draft...? Probably not. But why not start now... especially with this draft... and this position...?

If I didn't see the talent @#10... or #11... I wouldn't be excited about the trade down. But I'm convinced that the OT's will be there. I don't see Bowers as any more special than players #5-14.

BTW... Pipkins can be cut after 2024 and save the team $6.75m in cap space against the 2025 cap.

I'm not a big CJ Latham fan. In the 2nd round, I would much rather have center Sedrick Van Pran.
I know some mocks have him lasting until the 3rd round... but I think he's being slept on. I like him as much as JPJ and I like him better than Frazier. I think all 3 centers go in the 2nd round. I could see Frazier dropping to the 3rd round... but I certainly wouldn't count on it.

Target a WR like Javon Baker late. Yes King Henry. We are working on a sweet swap of him as we speak. Henry all navy. Gold visor. He would be our personal Darth Vader. Still need to draft a RB to groom and spell. Bralen Allen or Ray Davis sort of thing.
