Pippy has no strengths. If you have to "help" him... he should probably be replaced. Free your TE's! Free your RB's!
LOL, keep your fingers crossed and light some candles so that TT trades for him this offseason, otherwise he'll be starting at RT for the Chargers in 2024...I'm for upgrading RT too, but the holes that need filling will most likely take priority this year...we got nothing at center, and very little at interior running back, defensive line, corner, linebacker, and might need to draft another safety again on account of Gilman being a FA and JT Woods being a bust...there's just too much shit going on to prioritize OT early in the draft...
I like the idea of Hortiz making a small trade down with the first pick and maybe another small trade down with the second to pick up another 3rd and maybe a couple of extra 4rths this year...I do think the team will be competitive but some of that will come from them getting more out the same players that a lot of people on here are ready to give up on...

chronic injury...I think the rams cut bait on his injury issues

Over the next two months we are going to need to embrace the possibility of drafting Jackson Powers-Johnson @ #5.
There is controlled power, remindful of Creed.
JCP is a tone setter and leader of the highest order. This brings everything together for our team.
Wow, don't u think #5 overall is a bit high for JPJ? I might take him at #11-15 or so, though... (as long as we get a 2nd AND 3rd rounder for trading down...or more...)
22 - TE Mason Taylor
55 - RB Quinshon Judkins
86 - DL Josiah Stewart
125 - G Dylan Fairchild
158 - C Jake Majors
181 - WR Donte Thornton
Sorry but Jamar Chase as great as he is won't be the reason Bengals ever win Superbowl. When Burrow played Rams and had the opportunity to win game, even with Chase about to break wide open on route.........he could Not get the throw off and they lost because they OL was not good enough to win.
Mahomes SB wins he had better OL play. Didn't even have Hill the most explosive WR in the game. Draft the Ferrari when you have pot holes and crack in the foundation isn't a good way to start the plan. Invest in OL. It helps the entire team. All three phases are helped by OL play. Both Offense and Special team can be more successful and Defense can rest more. And it protects you #1 asset. The franchise QB.
Joe Alt at #5 or trade back for more picks.
And still draft OL with Rd 1.

I guess Allen on the Rams is like Bosa on the Bolts...
except one guy was making 6mil per season and the other has been making around 27mil per season...and Allen was an overachieving 5th rounder that exceeded expectations plus helped his team win a Super Bowl and Joey has never lived up to either his draft slot or his salary...

If we can draft a TE @ #5, we can draft a C @ #5.
Jared Goff was @ #1.
Brock Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant.
I really like the idea of not having to deal with those confounded Trade Value Charts, Jimmy Johnson, Rich Hill, Fitzgerald-Spielberger or Harvard Sports Analysis Collective.
Yep...towards the end, TT was spending $$$ on mediocre talent like a drunken sailor, because he was in the hot seat...then it got hotter...
Easier to keep the "known" players than do your job, go on the ledge when your backside is on the hotseat and try to improve the team
Telesco knew he and Staley needed to win so it was "easier" to bring back a bunch of guys from the 10-7 playoff team, albeit the group that lost a 27 zip lead than try to improve the margins of the roster
Parham
Morgan Fox
Easton Stick
JK Scott - face it - he was below average in 2022 - the data shows it
Pipkins -- three year deal when one year for $7m to prove it could have been done
he did replace Tranq with Kendricks
pushed cap on MW, KA, Bosa and Mack
oh well, onwards with JH2

I rate C as a bigger PON than RT...so I'm thinking seriously about your idea...I'd sure like to trade down to #8 or #11 and STILL pick up at least ONE extra pick...

Hahaha.
I was being a wee bit cynical.
Hortiz will pleez with trade downs.
There is always risk.
NFL teams can mine for serious value.
You and I hope Joe trades down more than once.
I think @ #37 is for sale,
with overnight to think about it all.
But how many times has a team's guy been snagged one pick before they are on the clock ?
This leads to freakouts and over paying trade ups.
Let's keep the fajitas a sizzlin', Cat.
