What I've heard is that the kid from Washington is at the top of a lot of boards ahead of other popular WRs..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Everett while not sexy is familiar with Herbert and works hard at blocking, plus his value is supposed to be in the 3.5-4.5mil range down from what we were paying him before...hunter Henry is out there again, his valuation is around 6mil per year, too bad our cap situation is so shit, I know he's close friends with KA and loved playing with herbert before...Originally posted by charger1_sj View Post
Might as well sign Everett. We don't just need a blocking TE. We need a receiving threat to complement our injury prone and developing WRs."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. I would rather have vet as starter with draft pick as depth but whatever they decide I will be ok with. Center needs to be #1 priority they are the glue that hold the oline together and we saw last year what happens when you don't have a good center.Originally posted by Topcat View Post
I would like to draft JCJ but ALSO to sign a vet C at least for depth...don't want to see Clapp and Jaimes as backups again...ADOPTED BOLT: Quentin Johnson
Season: WK 10
REC: 32
YARDS: 460
TDs: 6
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

I know someone on the Charger staff that was a wrestler and played Center. Sounds like a good pairing huh?Originally posted by Xenos View PostIf we miss out on JPJ, Frazier seems like a nice consolation price with the 37th pick.

Can be fixed with better coaching and a solid center either a FA or draft pick.Originally posted by Go Chargers go View PostCan the OL be fixed in FA. This would definitely allow the focus on a skilled positionADOPTED BOLT: Quentin Johnson

IF Nabers makes our jaws drop and runs in the 4.3's and has a 40 inch vertical then draft him at 5! A 1200 yard 15 plus TD per season would be nice and may eclipse what Bowers could offer at the TE position!Originally posted by wu-dai clan View PostThis is all going to get very frustrating for Charger fans.
Nabers is about to make our jaws drop in Indy. The truly explosive athleticism, including speed, acceleration and loose hips, the route running, all of this on display, is only exceeded by his deep ball tracking.
Tyreek Hill, DeSean Jackson, step aside.
It would not surprise me to see Malik go @ #1. He cannot be covered.
Well, we are about to get pissed off at Greg Roman. As clearly stated, overcoming the long standing Charger inability to run the football is job #1.
With a running attack, shoot, Herbert to Alex Erickson is capable of going over 1,000 yards.
OL all day.
Also just last week I posted on here Imagine Justin Herbert with a running game, and I added that we don't have to imagine it because we are about to see it! I love how Roman said the exact same thing!
We need to seriously look at Audric Estime, Jalen Wright, Braelon Allen, MarShawn Lloyd and Blake Corum!
Lastly we have to really be prepared since Minter is our DC to see some of Michigan's players drafted by us in this draft! The players coming up already know his D well and Harbaugh made the comment at the press conference that the Chargers are going to be the farming team to Michigan's players! I hope we seriously consider Mike Sainristil, Zinter, Junior Colson, Corum, Roman Wilson and Kris Jenkins!

Chargers need a better blocker. Period. I like Everett, runs hard. But it will start with being able to block better. That is probably not Henry either. Trautman might be a name to consider. Geoff Swaim. BOth will be pretty cheap, - Swaim for sureOriginally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

Chargers are going to have to maximize their cap spending - might be a lot of players in the 2-3m range and not the 4-5m range - granted, all depends on the cap hit and structure - but if you push too much to the future, it becomes a game

Yeah, Nick Hardwick went to Purdue on a wrestling scholarship, and ended up getting encouraged to try out for the football team.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

I don't know about MHjr taking plays off. Everytime I have watched him, he has just dominated and taken games over? But I didn't watch every game and when I did I only saw what TV allowed me to see. Maybe against really inferior teams when up by a big margin he slacked off? FWIW all I hear is what a great kid he is and how devoted he is to football.
If Odunze is being compared to Fitzgerald then perhaps MHJr is Megatron? Just don't recall seeing someone so big, so strong, so fast, so good with his routes. There are no weaknesses in his game. He even blocks.

When I watch Everett, I always wonder why he is not more successful. Is he a guy that the coaches did not use right? He is more of an effort blocker, but he gives great effort. He dropped some passes last season but generally has good hands. He is violent with the ball in his hands. The TE from Ohio State, Stover and the one from Michigan, Barner (I think) are very similar -- strong blockers, great effort, team leaders and can catch a bit. I would like to see either of them added to our team regardless of what happens.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

Odunze definitely has the surest hands of the three. I’ve read that Nabers is quietly a favorite. What I do know is that with this many blue chippers, Liar’s Month is shaping up to be a doozy. Gotta wonder whose stock tanks this year following a Laremy Tunsil style social media discovery?Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post
