So many say they want Nabahs and I keep saying there are some really good receivers in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds. I have to ask, have any of you Nabahs guys even seen this guy?
Dude doesn't have to run deep routes, not that he can't.. He just needs to catch the ball where ever and watch him run lol.

Malachi Corley..I've mentioned him a handful of times. Thinking this guy is a 3rd rounder. Steve Smith mentions perhaps maybe 1st. I dont think so. I know it's Western KY but the guy gives full effort. Solid 3rd.

Here's Walter Football's write up on Corley.

      Projected Round (2024): 4-6.

2/24/24: Corley made 79 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2023. He earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl and had a solid week of practice.

9/2/23: Corley was a breakout performer for the Hilltoppers in 2022 with 101 receptions for 1,293 yards and 11 touchdowns. Corley is a thickly built receiver who lacks height. His 40 times as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches are going to be important for his selection range.
I love his compact-ness: 215 pounds on a 5-10 frame. The highlights show what superior balance can do for you. Not a true breakaway speed guy, but his strength and balance make him tough to bring down. Reminds me of Joshua Palmer, weight/strength/toughness-wise.

Agree, he isn't a burner but good speed and with the ball in his hands he is dangerous, doesn't go down easy.

Another WR I really like for us....Brenden Rice. First 3:30 minutes is his time with Colorado.

There are so many guys, if you want a Josh Palmer level receiver in this draft. There will even maybe be a legit all pro that isn't one of the top 3 WRs drafted, but figuring out which of the 25 other WRs drafted will be that guy is impossible.

A healthy Josh Palmer is a really great piece to have, but he's not a guy who teams gamelan around. If Josh Palmer is your number one receiver then the team better have an elite defense and a very good run game if the team is going to win.

If Keenan Allen were 26 I understand we just need a really good receiver, but he's not. Any year could be his last year, or at least his last productive year, with the Bolts. Unless you're the Rams, finding that game changing receiver outside the 1st round is tough. It might be a long time until we're in a position to draft a WR prospect like this again. These guys are expensive to acquire via trade and or FA, so the draft is the best way to get them.

I found it amazing that in that entire highlights clip, there were only 2 passes beyond the LOS - one was 3 yards,, one was 2 yards. Every other reception was behind LOS, or a handoff.

He is clearly better than Charlotte’s defensive players in the open field. Hands down. Could we see him catch a 9 yard out, a 15 yard post, or track a 30 yard deep pass over his outside shoulder, did he make any plays relevant to NFL WR play? As of now we know he’s a screen pass specialist, but teams will quickly catch on to that if he doesn’t have more in the toolkit, Did he ever run any routes?

                We got a Josh Palmer already...and a Slayer...and a Q...and Davis, and maybe Erickson...

We dont really need a WR...if we take one, I imagine it will be one of the big 3, because they are too special to pass up...or very late...really dont see a reason to pick one in the middle rounds at all...not when we could use rbs, tes, olineman, lbs, corners, dlineman...

Hell, WR may be the one group, outside of QB, that we really cant qualify as a need.
                Lone Bolt's Final Mock

Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB

Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech

Exactly. Especially when you consider that Roman will implement a more balanced offense. I imagine that half of the snaps will be in 12-personnel... with 2 WR's on the field. The Bowers-Boys will say that only proves how badly we must have a TE with the 1st round pick. But in reality there a several really good ways to add 1 receiving TE and 1 blocking TE to the squad without having to burn the 1st round pick on a TE.

                  Protect the QB
                  Run the ball
                  Play great defense

Of course, those are just highlights that someone put together. They have him run routes but he is damn good getting YAC but it dont happen every play.

I would NOT call him a polished route runner and like most WRs he can use some work and why he is around a 3rd rounder...may slip to top of 4th. I think Steve Smith is over the top saying he can sneak into round 1. Id say no....not even 2nd round.

Here are some videos of just his routes. Has a bit of a knack for finding holes in the zone. Some good coaching can do him good in the route department.

Some plays where he is blocking in this one. Seems pretty good there.

That WR line up you list is unispiring...the best one is an elite posession receiver but about to be 32. Palmer is a good WR3 at best. QJ is a potential bust. Davis is a kick returner and Erickson is a journeyman that bounces around teams.

Think back to our plodding offense last year that had to go down the field in long perfect drives and how defenses didnt have to worry about deep balls.

We could definately use a top tier game breaking weapon with speed and YAC.

But I agree, this team has so many positional needs to upgrade you can find areas of more urgent need.
