Nobody is talking about OT Roger Rosengarten. I do think he goes in the top 100, possibly top 75 when it’s all said and done. He was a part of one of the best Olines in the country. Annnd he’s a RT. I would not be upset if they traded back, got an extra pick or 2 and took Rosengarten to compete with Pip this year and unseat him next year. Then turn around and trade Pip next offseason.

Guys get inspired to play seeing Herbert go out there with his ribs or hand.
Herb just isn't *that* guy. Which doesn't mean he can't be/isn't great. I just think that the type of temperament Herb has is less predictive of pro success,
And Herb playing through the torn rib cartilage/broken finger stuff? The Dolphins didn't see any of that before the draft, so couldn't have taken that into consideration. Tua, OTOH, had been through a lot of pre-draft adversity that he fought through courageously, and Dolphins' brain trust definitely saw THAT. At the time of the draft, Tua demonstrated more than Herbert had.

On those occasions I saw Woods play, he was a complete liability, tackling-wise.
He was bad in the kind of way tacklers are bad when they're AFRAID to tackle. (Hey, I know EYE would be!) I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that Woods just doesn't have that love of contact that's required to succeed at the NFL level.

Then turn around and trade Pip next offseason.- Feisty, tough and plays with a competitive attitude.
- Finishes and doesn't quit; competitor with a positive attitude and leadership traits that coaches admire.
- Excellent quick-twitch movement off the snap in pass protection and as a run blocker.
- Does a nice job on the second level, moving upfield quickly and showing the flexibility and balance to land blocks in space.
- Hand placement is excellent, and Rosengarten shows a good understanding of angles when climbing upfield
- Consistently keeps his feet sliding while maintaining power when dealing with speed, often sending speed rushers flying past the pocket
- He’ll struggle to get a push at the points of attack against NFL defensive linemen.
- While Rosengarten displays a decent amount of strength at the point of attack, he lacks the raw power to re-establish the line of scrimmage in short-yardage situations.
- Plays with poor balance, doing too much reaching and lunging when his initial punch is ineffective. Trying to mirror against quickness will be a problem for him.

now if he still wiffs tackles in practice (staley never allowed his players to actually tackle in practice)..... then Harbaugh will get rid of him quickly....
