Cam Hart * no issues really, but didn't blow anyone away
DJ James * moves well, quick feet, no real complaints
Elijah James * feet need to cover more ground, has got something to him
Jarrian Jones * much better when he's in a spot and can change in a zone

Bowers didn't need to work out. He got what he needed done at the Combine by weighing in and getting measured. I didn't think he was going to weigh more than 230 pounds. I was pleasantly surprised to see him weigh in at 243. He could still bulk up a bit, but he's not too small for the position.
I have not heard any teams taking Laiatu Latu off of their draft boards. With that being the case, he's at the top of my list among realistic first-round prospects for us. If we can get him after trading back that would be great, but I would draft him fifth overall. I also really like Jared Verse and Dallas Turner, and the offensive tackle prospects are among my favorites, as well.
But, with Harbaugh and Hortiz running the show, I will be fully supportive of whoever they pick.

Went back to watch video again of Theo and Reiman.
Watched little of Reiman prior to today.
Reiman is a much better blocker than Theo. He actually is pretty good. Sticks with his man but from time to time he doesn't get solid contact , most of the time he does a really good job of keeping the defender at bay.
Doesn't play as fast as he timed but he would be a good pick to be our blocking TE2. Didn't really get to run much of a route tree in the offense that I saw but I wasn't watching highlights, i was watching vs video to see every play of his in a game.
Need to see more. Will go to some highlights to see him as a play maker and if he has enough for more than a blocking TE.
Didn't change my mind.
Theo he gives it a go as a blocker but doesn't stick with it long enough, doesn't really move defenders. Looks a little better in pass protection. Needs work in run blocking. He isn't a very good route runner either but he did have a better route tree to show it more. Doesn't play to his timed speed either. Also watched a vs video.
Have seen some of his highlights already. Not sure Theo could start and he a TE2. Think we would need to sign someone. Parham i think could maybe beat him out for TE2.....which isn't a great thing. At least year 1.Last edited by Boltjolt; 03-01-2024, 09:34 PM.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

Reiman is a good blocker when he has the advantage, but gets caught off balance at times, nearly getting decleated by DBs surprising him with direction changes. More powerful than explosive or twitchy...not a playmaker, just a target when needed...no real YAC to his game. But size, athleticism, power, and decent hands make him intriguing as a #2 blocking TE, especially on power plays.
Theo has a lot more receiving chops on tape...I dont think he is a bad route runner, though a few times he ran it lazy, like he knew he wasnt getting the ball that play. Surprising after the catch, will make decent football moves. Better blocker than the Ohio St game...he had some whiffs that irked me, but when I watched again, he had some good blocks, also.
Bottom line...gimme Bowers, or sign Everett, Henry, etc....I like both these kids day 3, but neither of these guys is a #1 yet (Theo may get there)
Next: Tanner McLachlan...Lone Bolt's Final Mock
Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB
Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech

Tanner McLachlan
Blocking: Not a bulldozer, but gives great effort. Better in open space, being patient with his approach, and not lunging or overrunning assignment. Got the frame to add a little bulk, too...
Receiving: Another pleasant surprise. Runs good routes, gets good position on stick routes, good movement skills after catching the ball, good hands I think, though I didnt look up drops...
If this class has a Sam La Porta, as in a good prospect who gets overlooked, but might have playmaking talent, and with the right system and QB, could knock it out of the park next year...might be this kid. Sleeper.
Still...wouldnt bet the farm on any of these guys outside of Bowers, for our #1...but I do like some of the upside day 3.Lone Bolt's Final Mock

Bottom Line on TEs...
I would actually take Bowers at 5...but would much prefer to trade back and nab him. As for the rest of the class? Nothing til day 3, and no #1s, unless there really is a La Porta hiding here...(McLachlan...Sinnot?) Bell and Sanders are a bit disappointing to me...Sinnot is an athlete...Stover was a let down...Holker is an interesting priority UDFA...
Good news? See several guys who I think can see a lot of action for us as #2s in 12 personnel next year...
Bad news? Wouldnt bet the farm on any of these guys as #1s, outside of Bowers...and all are gonna have some obvious growing pains year 1...including Bowers...would hope we got some vets in mind for the position.
Edit: When I say no TE til day 3, I mean for us...I dont think Sanders, for example, is worth passing up on other more talented players that we could use...but a couple of these TEs may indeed go day 2 to other teams.Lone Bolt's Final Mock
