I wish I remember who wrote it but even though there are different charts - somebody did a study and went trade by trade over an extended period of years and found that most trades correlated closest to the Jimmy Johnson trade value chart. And for Telesco specifically, for his 4 trades, he got 102% of value - so just above break even for his 4 trades

Now, this is a top 5 pick so the Johnson point chart - just a guide for me. Like the Vikings, per the Johnson chart should only need to pay a 2nd and actually the Chargers flip back a 6th - but I think for a top 5 pick at QB - they need to seriously overpay that chart.

The only way we can get more picks, is if there is a qb there. Are the second tier qb going to jump that high? I tend to think not, but if this Michigan qb can keep this, I’m just a winner narrative, I’m all for it. I’m only wanting to trade back, to get another 2nd this year, to start off with.

A third round pick this year and a future 4th - which is really like a current year 5th

So if you using the Jimmy Johnson Point chart - the Chargers had 350 of value going to the Bears for them to get to 5
        But only 250 coming back

To go from 5 to 9 - Chargers need a 2nd this year

or at worst a 3rd this year, a 4th this year and a 2nd next year
think you could ask for their 3rd this year and a next year's 2nd.... not sure you could warrant an additional 4th ??

and trading to Chicago is better for me, in that I would get in front of NY to better ensure my chances @Fuaga....

Corum is a good guy, good personality. I like him but for the NFL I would rather have Wright, Benson or Allen though

This is the trade scenario I suggested a while back. I added a 4th this year. I also had a trade down with the Giants first for their 2nd and next years 3rd. Anyway it's fun to speculate.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

gotta remember that these GMs want to keep their jobs, and while trading the farm for your fifth overall might suit us, it doesn't bode well for their job security, and....

on the other hand/alternatively it doesn't serve Hortiz well to rape 'n pillage other GMs, coz it won't be before long that other teams/GMs are hesitant/unwilling to trade w/him.

Chicago's been doing pretty good in draft raping and now they're going to rape us for peanuts...moving up in the draft to get the one of the best receivers is not cheap. I'd rather take the receiver.

curious as to who you like, as personal suspicion is that while Nabers may be the highest ranked receiver, think he is the riskiest gambit when it comes to mindset.... ??

if the both of MHJ 'n Odunze were off the board, do you turn in your card for Malik ??

Yes...were still saving $13 mil per year for the first 4 years of his contract. All high paying athletes need to be schooled on proper off field conduct.

ok, good correction. Dotson outplayed him in PS though

We shouldn’t have to give up anything in return if the Vikings are trying to move up for a QB.
