Sink or swim in no time flat so the QB carousel continues around the NFL.
They haven't been really wrong though with this approach. 95% of the time when they've cut bait early on a QB he's never done anything relevant elsewhere. The only high drafted QBs that did anything elsewhere recently have been Goff and Tannehill and those were only ditched after 5+ years with their drafting teams.

and obviously there is some talent w/the top four or so wideouts, and.... personally really like Fuaga, and do think there are some other very talented Olinemen early.

the query is: who wins you your SB.... WR or the Lines ??
People will be in love w/ QJ after this year. Mark my words in this new offense he is going to blow up. Harbaugh will use him to his strength and not try and make him MW 2.0 which he is not.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

I get you need a good O line, but it's the playmakers that win games. Mahomes was running for his life at times this year and yet when the chips
were down he relied on his best pass catcher.

We cannot win with the playmakers we currently have. Upgrading the O line definitely a step in the right direction. But by itself it will not win
us a SB. We need guys that can make plays in the clutch. That's what wins games. Ditto goes for the defense.

I'm going to want to see what our roster looks like and what they play like before making any declarations. But this set of playmakers will
not cut it. Running Gus Edwards 35 times up the gut is probably not going to work. He's going to need help both at the RB position and
        O line blocking.
That's just ridiculous. The Chiefs' defense was just as big as Kelce and Mahomes in the playoffs and Super Bowl, making huge stops in key moments and playing outstanding at times (Miami and Baltimore). Particularly in the AFC Championship Game, when the Chiefs' offense didn't score a single point in the second half. You're just writing ridiculous stuff because you want a "playmaker".

half of his catches for the year (19 out of 38) were made in the last 6 games of the year. if you just looked at those 6 games, he would not have looked that bad.

i don't know if i will love the guy next year, but he should progress even more next year. hopefully we will find more ways to get the ball in his hands and let him YAC.

and there are a good 20+ receivers who have busted over the last decade, and.... I agree, this bunch looks pretty good, and.... what changes our SB fortunes.... more of the same or build our Lines ??

and btw.... did you notice who Jeremiah has slotted to us @5.... ??

will also add that when Sewell came out, there were plenty of questions around him, and he was no lock that he would go off the board as soon as he did.

there is also no guarantee that any of the top three tackles would be there @11, as personally would draft the tackles 5, 6, 7 based on team needs and value.

conjecture is rampant here and you are entitled to yours, and.... you and the rest of 'em can be as condescending as you wish, and.... (don't know what to tell you).
The thing is we are not just a RT away from being a championship team! We need a stud DT, CB, LB, RB, TE, OC, (Young WR) etc. etc. etc. If we were to draft RT Christian Jones later in the draft that could be as good an option as any?

“Christian Jones has the ideal measurables and, with the right development, could become an NFL starter.”

sounds like you want to trade down multiple times

IMHO, the problem with QJ last year was that they tried to use him like MW. QJ weakness is tracking the ball over his shoulder and going up for contested balls which were MW strengths. He needs the ball in space whether it's slants, crossing routes, or even screens. Those are his strengths.

Nope, I'm good with a high OT pick if our management deems the one they want is there, either way! The point is we don't necessarily have to use a first-round pick on a RT because we need a lot. If we could come away with Bowers or MHJ or Nabors from the first round that may be a better option. If we don't draft a RT in round one its not the end of the world or mean we blew it this draft.

Yes the Chiefs defense is now formidable the past 2 years. But dont make it sound like the offense hasnt carried the Chiefs for most of the 8 straight diviision titles. Many of those years the defense was adequate at best.

I was responding to the poster who said a tight end won the Super Bowl this past season. That's not true, nor was it in 2022, when the Chiefs beat the Eagles in a close Super Bowl victory that included Nick Bolton returning a fumble for a touchdown--and a game in which the Chiefs rushed for 158 yards while Patrick Mahomes threw for 182.

True but you are singling out one game examples. To get to Super Bowl status you have to win many games. And over the many games the Chiefs have won over the years, Patrick Mahomes and his offense have been the biggest factor.

As for the TE, Kelce, he has the most post season receptions in NFL history, so he has kinda helped too.
