What do we all say if they follow up Latham at 5 with Corum at 37? That would be back to back reaches while neglecting WR and CB, two positions of dire need.

I have also heard growing buzz that Harbaugh will do whatever it takes to get Corum here. I am not even sure he is the RB I want but I know definately not at 37.

Re: WR, I think we need to come to grips that the style of play we want to implement simply doesn't favor tht passing game. It certainly doesn't look like they value investing a lot of capital in WRs. Yah they "tried" to keep KA and MW, but they were also happy to say goodbye.

I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, only that this is what I would expect moving forward. If Herbert only throws it 20 times a game, then it makes sense why they wouldn't go for a guy like Nabers or Bowers. There's no value in it for us. Low yield.

Brace yourselves Charger fans, for this pick and for it to be panned as a reach BUT two very smart and tuned in draft gurus Daniel Jeremiah and Trevor Sikkema, in their FINAL mock drafts have assigned JC Latham to the Chargers at FIVE. This isnt the mock they would pick, it is the mock based on what they are hearing from sources and what they thnk is going to happen.

The drumbeat that the Charger are going OL is getting louder. We all assumed Joe Alt but what these guys are saying is that Harbaugh will want a a big mauling power run blocker that is a plug and play RT.

Sikkema also said he doesnt think Vikings will trade up if Patriots take Maye at 3. Taking Latham at 11 was likley fine with everyone but it will take some getting used to taking Latham at 5 while Nabers and Odunze are sitting there.

Just read ESPN and Field Yates Final Mock draft and he had Latham to Chargers at 5.

Yeah I know they are all clueless but that is about the 10th one that has Chargers picking Latham. So does Vegas

Not sure that would justify a reach at 37 for Corum.

They need to play defense with a starting CB, LB, and DT

Then you should just trade Herbert. Draft McCarthy @5 and then go O line all the way. We just wasted +$200M on a franchise QB with a rocket arm.

Oh I agree! I wasn't advocating for Corum at 37. Only that I wouldn't be surprised if they wait until the 4th or so to draft a WR.
