When Adams went to the Jets I was surprisingly pissed. I guess thats better than feeling nothing, right?
Williams aint a bad consolation prize.
welcome back. Even if just for the day.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I'm not a fan of this pick. I guess time will tell. I wasn't Fluker mad where I had to be settled down, but this was not what I was expecting.. and I think the bust potential here is very high. I guess, high risk high reward?

Looking around the 'Net, I found this article from last year about the bust potential of 1st round WR's. This writer estimates it at 55%. You're absolutely right, "high risk, high reward" and "time will tell" kind of says it all. Of course you could say that about any first round pick, but WR's seem to be more prone to failure. I cannot see Williams as a bust. He looks like a perfect fit for Rivers to me. Put the ball in the air and go get it.

Just remember people, he is a 4.5 guy but Boldon and Fitz didn't even run that fast and they are HOFers.

I agree with you. Williams does not seem to fit the bust profile as much as some others do. I certainly hope that's the case.

We know how Rivers loves to throw those 50/50 balls...

                Especially in the forth quarter...
                Go Rivers!

Some WR named Mike Williams has to pan out eventually.

We do. And that's what makes Williams valuable.

So, you're saying we might actually score points late in the 4th as opposed to turning it over?
                      I'll ride with that.

Surround him with better (or healthier players) on O and have the D make an occasional stop and he won't feel the need to single handedly try and win every game - and we won't see the desperation 50-50 balls.
