I think the chargers offense is better then average but has been snake bitten with injuries (mainly Allen and woodhead) the past couple seasons...but couple that with backup rbs, tes, and onlineman going down and to me the chargers really haven't seen the best they have to offer on offense. Yet despite all that, Rivers has still thrived enough and made legitimate players out of Tyrell Williams, Inman, and other skilled position players.

One could argue that you could add depth any where on this team and that would be true...but the chargers have a QB who has shown he can get the best out of basically anybody lined up at the skills positions. Rivers, though, not being a very mobile Qb (and never really has been)... would seem to indicate that real need is for the OL is the best place to build up. Only thing is that this years crop of OL is generally regarded from a lot of experts as not being very strong. So to me it would be like trying to force a square shape in a rectangular hole...you need it to work...and it's close enough...but in then end, it isn't the best choice...but you did it out of need.

Become more run-oriented (here's where the new coach hopefully becomes really effective) and make Rivers feel like he doesn't have to put the team on his back all the time because of a shutdown dominant defense...and good things could still very much happen.

Even telesco admits this draft is more defensive talent laden then vice versa...so then he has to ask himself if he will draft for need or for BPA. If last year was any indication...then telesco will likely go BPA vs need (otherwise chargers would've likely gone for a Tunsil or Stanley vs ending up with the stud that Bosa became.) Of course it takes a lil luck (injury wise & scheme wise to see if the player you pick helps ascends your overall team...which it clearly did with most of the picks last year) but for it to continue this year imho I think telesco will have to do the same this year. At where chargers currently stand at #7...BPA should likely be a defensive player...but we will see if telesco really believed in his most recent statement come tomorrow. Draft is known as a crapshoot for a reason...so many things can end up making a team fall back on a contingency vs getting what they really had hoped for.

This team is seemingly a couple players away from becoming a dominant defense...injuries also hit them hard last year...but the unit as a whole still showed some very intriguinging promise. You hit on another Bosa-esque player on the Dl or add a stud S that helps the secondary become more shut down...and the chargers defense could really be something special imho.

I can understand if the chargers want to add some offensive line depth later in draft...but something I think rivers has always lacked vs his draft classmates of Eli and Big Ben (and even Brady) is a top notch defense. Couple him with that and a sound running game and his last few years of playing could still be very fruitful.

Yep just saw on another site. Private workout with Williams on Thursday. We also met with him at combine. Guess we can add to tires kicked twice list. Maybe due diligence based on Keenan still being the proverbial "85% healthy" again.

Unless I see more visits trickling out I'm starting to get the feeling we are NOT picking at #7. Need to see at least 2-3 of #7 cluster.

Walter Football will put a visit up if its double sourced. Allen only name out now. So following TT's pattern he is only one I'm 99% sure is definitely "in" the cluster.
Add one to the list. So it's either Allen or Williams?

@ProFootballTalk: Mike Williams worked out for Chargers, Titans http://bit.ly/2oJFKTB

Skins fans would be going crazy.....it looks like McCaffrey to Carolina is a lock in most mocks I've seen, unless the Bolts take him. :hello:

Has the Bolts getting Solomon Thomas from Stanford. Had Hooker going 2, and Adams 6. Watson the only QB taken ahead at 4 to the Jaguars.

I don't think this is a very likely scenario.

I agree he needs to be out there. As I said in a previous thread, if he misses time again this year we need to move on. I can't knock the head office for drafting him in 3rd though. He was value there.

Keenan fell big time because of the knee. When he is on the field he is a top 10 WR. He needs to be on the field though. It's not like he's out of shape, he has just been unlucky.
Teo and Fluker on the other hand were never as good healthy as their draft slot indicated. Fluker was a need pick. I have no idea what they were thinking with Teo
