No shit. Allen at 12 is a stretch though. He is a legit top 10, players with as much tape as him don't fall off the radar or drop for having an average combine. Bad medical, character issues, sure they will drop but I don't see any of that with Allen.

I think what people forget are the draft prognosticators move players all around but just before the draft they tighten right back up to what the boards looked like in January. The guy didn't get better or worse since Jan but writers cant put an unchanged mock up every few weeks, they have to feed the rumor mills and media driven story of the week.
I honestly think most head offices have had their clusters set for a while with only minimal movement of ranking within clusters post combine. Tape and medical are biggest drivers and barring surprises on medical what else has changed?

This is an interesting mock with the Chargers trading down to #12 and getting one of Clevelands 2nd round pick in return

The first quarterback is off the board and the 49ers still don’t have one, so the Browns use one of their second-rounders to move up for Watson, who is well worth the price.

12. San Diego Chargers (from PHI via CLE)* | Jonathan Allen | DL | Alabama
Another prospect who has been overthought as of late, Allen’s mediocre testing and potential shoulder issues could drop him out of the top 10. The Bolts move down, pick up an extra second-rounder and still land a bargain to bolster their front line.

I like how they rotate between San Diego and Los Angeles

This is the trade ive been hoping for. Its a simple little trade and it allows us to be in a good position still. I dont think Allen will be there however. And im scared of drafting OL because TT is cursed lol. Id also look at a guy like Reddick. John Ross or Mike Williams as well.

I give Allen a 50-50 chance of being available 7. Not because he is falling over some issue, but because other players are being seen as hotter prospects and have upward momentum.

If Allen is there at 7, I take him. And at 12, wow.

Im thinking with Allen i may use him at 5T and put Bosa at Leo with Ingram at SAM. Allen can probably 2 gap. Reid/Liuget battle for the 3T.

A guy i really like if we pass on 3T/5T early would be Wormley.
