Great. All I've seen is Hampton this and Hampton that. Hampton to me is a decent back but not an exceptional playmaker. Jeanty, Johnson, Gordon, Henderson scream playmaker. Hampton is a third rounder in my book from what I've seen.

I really do like him I just don't know if he is worth a 1st rnd pick but don't think he will be there at their pick in the 2nd. Maybe Hortiz trades up in the 2nd to pick him? I think that is the only way they get him if they want him.

I am pretty confident Hampton will go long before Gordon whose draft stock dropped like a stone this year after a good year last year. I think Gordon doesn't go before 4th round now

I've seen Jalen Royals slated for the 1rst round by one popular pundit.

I could be off base, maybe he still goes top 3 rounds. Ok St was bad, that is some of it, but his YPC in the only top RB under 5 which is low for college. Most of the top guys are in 5 to 7 range. Didnt catch much either. But he was very good in 2023 and is 225 with good speed.

I woud be ok if we drafted Gordon. I do think Hampton is 2nd RB taken though

Hope someone else drafts hampton and we get Kaleb. I would even take Kaleb in the first especially if we pick in the later part of the first round. Would not blink twice there. After that I start looking at the other running backs Like Ollie and Henderson in the second round and wouldn't blink twice there either.

2nd rounder ..... maybe top half of the 2nd.

I tend to agree with this .... not exceptional and how much better is he than Kaleb Johnson or tier 3 guys?
He's no Breece Hall, who also went high in the 2nd round.

I like Jalen Johnson... but Hampton has put together two years in a row of production... even when everybody knows he's getting the ball. I like his ability to break tackles and he's got some burst. I have 1)Jeantry 2)Hampton 3)Johnson and 4)Singleton. And I don't know that all four of them will be there come the Chargers 2nd round pick. No way Hampton goes in the 3rd.

Love the Hampton / Taylor 1-2 too! Hampton stands over Henderson as the better inside and outside runner - dude has power to spare. First time I watched any Taylor tape, oooh - i can see what you smart guys see … dude runs really really well, great hands - he’s a big league TE. Decent lineage too …

Idunno about Royals. He’s in the mix there in Rd3 … could be?

My top three RB's

1) Jeanty
2) Kaleb Johnson
3) Ollie Gordon

I know everyone is Hot on Hampton but I feel he's just going to be a good RB not great at the NFL level. Jeanty will not be there when we pick in the 20-32 range. i would go with Johnson before Hampton if picking in the late first. I might consider Gordon, Hampton, Henderson with the late 2nd rounder. Why is no one talking about Johnson?

He’s good too. Not sure exactly why you don’t like Hampton, but i like Johnson too. Johnson had a much better OL, but he’s legit

Agree, Hampton seems to lack long speed but everything else is a possitive. Good burst and vision. Id add Henderson but not Gordon. Either of those 5 within first two rounds. Gordon more a 4th. May not make to our 4th but thats where im seeing him now. Really took a dive this season.

He really did , thats why I see Gordon as a 4th rounder now. Its a deep RB class. Good RBs will go in the 4th. Last year was a shallow RB class and Bucky Irving went in the 4th. He is a good back

I'd run to the Podium if he's there at our pick in the 4th. Nice insurance policy for our run game. Take Johnson with our first and ollie with our 4th and we'd have Dobbins, Johnson, and Gordon in our backfield. I could live with roman in that lineup.
