I like Ferguson, too. He's my 6th TE... and really the last TE I think could come in and contribute immediately.
He reminds me of Kelce.... no, no, no... I'm not saying he's Kelce.
But like Kelce, he finds the open spot in the zone. And he's really good at ad-libbing as a play breaks down and initial route is not open. He's kind of crafty. I have a 3rd round grade on him.

I have a 3rd too. I think we would draft him over Fannin because he is a better fit. Could go in the 4th but doubt he gets to us.

Or...he plays to where he was drafted...at #22. You either have confidence he's a starter or he he's not a day 1 starter for you. Doesn't matter if you draft him #22, #32, or #42 if you like him.

Taylor is currently ranked the #61 prospect, and you want to take him at #22? I don't see that as a smart move. Maybe that's just me.

I'm kinda hoping they trade back in the 1st to pick up and extra 2nd or 3rd and use 2 of their 6 rnd picks to pick up an extra 4th or 5th. There is lots of good talent in rnds 2-5.

Yeah, if the guy they want isn't there... and there is a willing trade partner.
They've talked to Taylor and talked to Donovan Ezeiruaku (whom I think is also a mid 2nd-rounder)... maybe they like these 2 players a little more than me. Maybe they're preparing for a tradeback scenario. I like the 2nd-5th rounds, too.

I won't be shocked, they're good players. Pass rushers are always in demand.
They talked to both players... do they think both are worth the #22 pick...? I'm skeptical.
So I suggested that maybe there is a tradeback scenario...

I watched tape on WR Jaylen Royals from Utah State and I love him, mocks indicate he could be 3rd maybe 4th round pick, I would do it in heartbeat.

Chargers receive #38(rd2), #69(rd3), #144(rd5).

Maybe the Chargers throw in one of the 6th rnd picks to sweeten the pot. That would give the Chargers 2 2nd, 2 3rd, 2 5th, and 3 6th round picks. 4 picks in the top 100.

If the dudes we really wanted were gone by #22... for sure.
Pats would have to be in love with a prospect to give up that much.
