more looking @draft stock on Draft Buzz....

RB Omarion Hampton * unlikely he's there, and would not reach for him, before 55, but would take others over him
ED Jack Sawyer * 'nother guy that would wait on, and even then not so keen on him, but if that's the pick, then so be it
DT Kenneth Grant * forty percent chance according to Draft Buzz charts, and.... top o' the list @22
WR Emeka Egbuka * there's a chance and wouldn't suck, and.... not my choice
TE Colston Loveland * personally hopin' he's off the board, and according to DB, has got a 70 percent chance to be a Charger
ED Mike Green * got no interest due to level of comp, and.... pretty much a given @22 if that's who JH2 covets
TE Harold Fanin * think he's a day three/fifth rounder who is way overvalued
OG Jonah Savaiinaea * second rounder who not sure is worth the get as compared to other options @55
OG Tyler Booker * wary of this guy, as def would stay clear round one and hope he's gone by 55
LB Jihaad Campbell * not a pressing need w/Colson, and.... would give me pause @55
RB Kaleb Johnson * could be there @55, but have zero interest
DT TJ Sanders * got some SB love, and could be there @55, but don't know enough to be swayed atm
ED Nic Scourton * would steer well clear of this guy
WR Matthew Golden * not on the hype train here, and def don't have a first for him
DT Shemar Stewart * see him as a big mistake round one, and don't like his intangibles later neither
CB Benjamin Morrison * don't have any CBs that are of interest to me round one, nor round two for that matter
S Xavier Watts * chance he's there @55, but haven't paid enough attention to warrant interest
WR Xavier Restrepo * no interest in him, 'specially anywhere day two
OG Tate Ratledge * slotted rounds 1-4 and zero interest no matter where he lands
ED JT Tuimoloau * would give serious consideration in second round, as don't think he's a first rounder
OC Grey Zabel * personal suspicion is that he's a fifth round talent suckin' up the SB suds atm
ED Josaiah Stewart * third round talent that could well be a Charger, albeit not my guy/don't see it
RB TreVeyon Henderson * kinda guy that you cringe if you pass on him and cringe if you take him, and would wait on him 'til the third
OT Armand Membou * if he's a tackle like I think, he won't be there round 2, and not interested round one
DT Deone Walker * chances are he slots to us @55, and so want to like this guy, and if I'm the GM, he's a pass
TE Gunnar Helm * not really on my radar, and if he's on yours, would wait 'til the third, @the earliest
RB Quinshon Judkins * 'nother guy that could slot to us @55, and may be asking for trouble w/this guy
ED Donovan Ezeiruaku * may be in the minority here, and have no interest in this guy, even if he lasts 'til the third
WR Jayden Higgins * apparently comes off the board to us @55 @the earliest and will be off the board before 86
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
ED Malcom Koonce, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, QB Gardner Minshew, TE Jelani Woods, P Matt Araiza

DT Omarr Norman Lott * could well be there @55, and prolly off the board before 86, which seems a little early for him by my take
CB Darien Porter * most peoples have him slotted day two, and.... personal suspicion is he's a day three/fifth round talent
RB Devin Neal * if he's there round three, think you gotta give him serious consideration, 'specially if TreVeyon is off the board, or you can't stomach his injury bug
DT Aeneas Peebles * currently slotted for rounds 3-5, albeit think he's more a sixth rounder by my take
OG Donovan Jackson * would take this guy anywhere as think he's a first round talent, and if Tuimoloau is off the board @55, this guy is heavy consideration
S Kevin Winston * slotted throughout day two, who might be there @55, and maybe @86, and.... don't think he's a get, but very tempting
OC Jake Majors * got a little too much boy howdy for my likin', and.... slotted rounds 3-5, which is still too early by my take
WR Tez Johnson * should be there for the takin' @55, and possibly still there @86, and.... personally would steer clear of him
WR Jack Bech * slotted rounds 2-4, but again have not interest due to intangibles that seem a little off
WR Elic Ayomanor * seemingly good day two value, but see way too many risks/?s for my liking
CB Maxwell Hairston * seems like a 55er if he lasts that long, and could still be there come 86, and.... just like others better
CB Azareye'h Thomas * similar day two slotting, but just have no love for the guy, and despite DJ's love for him
TE Mason Taylor * def not moving up in the second for him, and truthfully not overly excited 'bout him in the third, as prefer Oronde/Arroyo day three
LB Smael Mondon * could be good value round three or into day three, and just not sure we have the draft capital for him, even later on
RB Brashard Smith * only one data point on him, round three, and ain't buyin' quite yet
OG Luke Kandra * peoples have him slotted earlier than later day three, but not me, as think he's more a sixth round talent
DT Jordan Burch * peoples have him as early as the first and tops/bottoms out early in the fourth, and.... he's a pass for me
WRB Savion Williams * prospect of intrigue that profiles from latest in the first to early fourth, but don't trust his intangibles, anywhere
RB Cam Skattebo * not a guy I want in my locker room, and despite that plenty of peoples love him, think he's overrated and more a sixth rounder
QB Kyle McCord * don't think he's a fit, and.... profiles as a 3-6 rounder if you've gotta have him.... round 7
RB Tahj Brooks * doesn't seem all bad, and slots rounds 4-6, and not my guy, but he does have some measurables
LB Jeffrey Bassa * got some SB love, and slots rounds 3-5, and can't get excited 'bout the guy
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry

LB Jay Higgins * slots rounds 3-5, who I wouldn't mind as a utility LB, but would wait 'til round 7
LB Cody Simon * got a sixth rounder for him if need be, but slotted as high as round four if not lower by some
TE Oronde Gadsden II * slots rounds 4-6 according to Draft Buzz, and would gladly spend our first selection day three on him
S Rod Moore * intangibles seem to be top shelf/outstanding, and slots rounds 2-5, and think he's a day three/round four talent
WR Pat Bryant * he's a mid rounder that fits the JH2 profile as a blocking wideout
WR Jaylin Noel * am an intangibles guy and this guys got 'em, and slots solidly in round four
RB Raheim Sanders * slots rounds 4-6, and just not sure 'bout this guy, albeit lots to like and would prolly spend a sixth on him
DT Howard Cross * slots early round two to all the way to round 7, and.... if he's there round 6 would swoop
ED Antwaun Powell Ryland * first slotted to come off the board early round two, and possibly not 'til the fifth, and.... not interested, and think he's a round 4 guy
RB Bhayshul Tuten * man of intrigue, and solidly slotted for the fifth, albeit not of interest atm
RB Ollie Gordon * starts to come off the board round two, and for some not 'til the fifth, and which is where I'd take him
RB DJ Giddens * day three guy, round 4 or 5, and who is prolly worth our sixth would suspect
OG Joshua Gray * someone has him coming off the board just after us @55, and rather think he's better as an UDFA
DT Joshua Farmer * don't know much 'bout him, as someone has him off the board before 55, while others think he's a 4/5 rounder
RT Emery Jones * caught my eye early in the process as some had him in the first, and while others have him as late as the fifth, which is where I'd take him, and as a Pips replacement
CB Cobee Bryant * he's my CB of choice, and who some have slotted just after 55, and while others have him in rounds 4/5 or even as late as round 7
TE Elijah Arroyo * slotted from off the board @55 to day three/round five, and who is my Oronde backup plan, come round 4
NT Nazir Stackhouse * 'nother guy who slots from the off the board @55 to late in round 7, and who I'd gladly take come round 6
RB Kyle Monangai * off my radar, but slotted round three to day three/round 6, and if he's your guy, maybe another round 6 guy
RB Trevor Etienne * not sure of his intangibles, and if you like him, he slots from round three to day three/round 6
TE Brant Kuithe * got alotta love last go 'round, and slots off the board before 86 to late round 7
OC Seth McLaughlin * not sold, and.... in play as early as 55 for some, and slots all the way out to day three/round six
OC Jonah Monheim * not interested, and.... 'nother guy who is off the board before 55, and slots all the way out to round six
QB Donovan Smith * someone has him as a day three/sixth rounder, while others see him as an UDFA
TE Terrance Ferguson * slots from off the board @86 to round six.... the Maxx Crosby of TEs
DT Savion Jones * slots rounds 3-6 and purportedly has some talent
RB Damien Martinez * slots anywhere from rounds 4-7, and got a fifth waiting w/his name on it

CB Jaylin Smith * slots rounds 5/6, w/some having him as an UDFA, and is prolly a fifth and a bit undervalued
CB Quincy Riley * dude is slotted to come off the board right around 55 by a coupla peoples, and then right after 86, and then rounds 4,5 and 7
RB Donovan Edwards * sleepy season this year as had some love last go 'round, but now a solid day three/rounds 5 or 7
TE Ben Yurosek * just don't see it, but someone has him as early as round three, w/others waiting 'til 5, 7 or as an UDFA
WR Nick Nash * personally don't think he cuts it in the League, albeit a coupla peoples have him as early as round 4
OT Anthony Belton * fourth round talent that gets a mention now & then, and slots as early as off the board @55, all the way out to round 7
TE Luke Lachey * borderline NFL talent that slots off the board before 55 out to late round 7
WR Bru McCoy * longshot X receiver that slots as early as a bit after 55 out to UDFA land
RB RJ Harvey * slotted rounds 3/4 by a coupla folks, and as an UDFA by another
RB Jarquez Hunter * an UDFA on some accounts, and by others a day three, rounds 3, 4 or 7 talent
TE Gavin Bartholomew * UDFA guy that has gotten mention a time or coupla few
TE Rivaldo Fairweather * an UDFA by any other name
OC Eli Cox * has a fifth round grade on one account, albeit generally considered an UDFA
LB Justin Flowe * doesn't really register on draft boards, but for some reason have always had an eye out for him

apparently an ESPN content creator (Paul Hembo) did a 20 year study (2000-2019) on first round "hits" and "misses." the hit rates are as follows:

                  percentage hits

                  92 OC
                  59 OT
                  50 OG
                  48 LB
                  46 QB
                  44 ED
                  40 DT
                  38 CB
                  38 RB
                  34 S
                  33 TE
                  27 WR

moral to the story, and according to the Packers fan who shared the story, is.... that's why Gutekunst does not draft receivers round one ??

my friend who shared the post w/me, suggests that the center position is an outlier, and wonders if the study would have varied/shifted if the timespan was just over the last ten years ??

ps. my personal suspicion is that this guy's numbers are a little off/low, and that.... the moral to the story is that 'tis a bit safer to draft linemen ahead of skill position players ??

                    Good effort.
I like a lot of these prospects.
Who knows when they will be selected ?

                    One thing tho.
Shrine Bowl punditry were underwhelmed by what they saw from Nash. No separation.

Ladd has got me obsessing on route running. Arroyo, I'm watching you.

Last years WR draft should shift the curve up a bit from 27%. LOL! Teams tend to gamble more on playmakers in the first and usually a player who gets drafted in the positions has earned the right to be drafted there Like offensive linemen.

That's crazy o-line is equal to or better than 50% and every other position is below 50%. How many OCs were taken in the 1st rnd in that span?
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!
