Look at what Bell does in the passing game. He lines up out wide and in the slot. But Pitt motions him there or empties the backfield to get him mismatched. You dont have to do that with McCaffrey. He can be a legit WR that goes up against CBs and Safeties. And not just from the slot although i think thats where he will do the most damage. He has much better WR capabilities than Bell. He could easily be a 100 reception per year candidate. Then you factor in the need to reduce Gordons carries due to his fragility and you probably get McCaffrey over 8-10 carries a game to spell Gordon.
Im not in any way pushing for McCaffrey at 7. I would like to continue building the defense. But if we are picking offense at 7 i would think he has a lot of value compared to Williams and Davis.
But you have to know how to use him. Hes not a specialist. Hes someone you can keep on the field. My only hesitation with McCaffrey is durability.
Juilan Edelman type impact in the passing game with monster reception totals and 1000 plus yards. And an added bonus in the run game similar to a Devonta Freeman in Atlanta. Id take 100/1000 10TDs receiving and 135/600/5 rushing all day long. Mix in the return totals and he has a lot of value.
The key to Atlantas success this past season was misdirection and the use of the 2 RB. It really allowed them to play Chess while the defense played checkers.

Hill is just a lot faster and I don't see McCaffrey blowing by people like he does, Though I think he is fast enough. Your compared him to Tyreek. Speedwise they don't compare is all. I also think McCaffrey may have a ego problem. For the first round I just don't like him there. Not at #7 anyways.
QB& RB at seven for me would be a bad pick.Last edited by Boltjolt; 04-23-2017, 12:44 PM.

I think he could be a smaller Leveon Bell type. He moves to RB when Gordon comes out. He moves back to WR when Gordon is on the field. Its a bad situation for defenses with Gordons ability in the passing game and Allen and Henry to account for. Plus next year Benjamin is gone. So you have his replacement on the roster with McCaffrey. You could even shift McCaffrey to RB and Gordon to the slot and teams are clueless. Like i said its a chess match. And with Rivers he will find the open player.
For me personally its exciting to think about all the possibilities. But like i said im hoping for defense. Im arguing the fact that McCaffrey just might be the most productive offensive position if we go offense.

Samuel in the 2nd might be a better option.
