Two Tuesdays before the draft, the PFW draft edition came out. And I went to the Perris newsstand in North Park every year to get it. It was the only place I ever saw that sold it.
I loved Bushsbaum's work. He was the best. Even today. He'd highlight about 6 or 8 players at every position. I'd read it and try to figure out who the Bolts would take. So much fun. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
The Wasted Decade is done.

This is an awesome read. Thanks Bonehead. I used to buy the Buschbaum draft guide each year. Not real professional, especially in the early years, but great info. I used to skip school to watch the draft on ESPN when they started. People thought I was crazy!
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Great read !
I don't feel quite so weird for being a total NFL Draft wonk.
As an admirer and customer of Joel Buchsbaum, having purchased his Draft Preview Guide on numerous occasions, I would say he was, literally, a football savant.
The day after NE was eliminated from the playoffs, Belichick drove down to Joel Buchsbaum's funeral.
'Nuff said.We do not play modern football.
