He appeared almost unblockable... I know it's college guys, not NFL. But that guy was amazing.
Just keep this in mind he stsrted playing his best ball at the right time. Dont let that consume you over all his other tape to.
imo if Christian wilkins isnt there or doesnt come out this year i say we draft roquan smith.

Latest Bleacher mock has us taking OT Williams, then S Allen.

Most of what i read on connor willams (minus a blescher report mock) has him as a mid round to late round pick. Only eay he goes higher is if he is a combine warrior or theres a run on tackles. I mean if i would have told you last year desomnd king would be there in the 5th no one would have believed me. I didnt believe it when we drafted him. Till this day idk how reyshawn jenkins was taken before him

Connor Williams has very good technique. That wins a lot more points with most scouts than it does with fans, since it is a pretty good predictor of early success.

Still, it is the NFL draft and he didn't have a very good senior year. I don't see him falling much out of the top 10, let alone the 1st round, but maybe that is just me.

I think he is the kind of guy a good team would want as a backup, because he can win some games when your starter is injured, but he is not a franchise QB in the making.
Agree, I also wouldnt mind having Bridgewater. Now sure if the Vikes we try to trade him or not.Though by the time he can compete to start his contract will be up. Hec even as a late first round pick I'm not sure he makes as much as Clemens did. I haven't looked at his contract.

Mel Kiper has him selected by the Chargers in his first mock draft.

Here is a very tiny screenshot of his draft:

I saw that. And I approve. Dude was straight up blowing up Georgia's Offensive Line... that ran the ball all over pretty much everyone else.

Not a surprise that Georgia had most of it's luck running on the perimeter. The middle was plugged.

A guy like that would really help. Even if Mebane and Leguit are still starting... he can be rotational, and grow into the starters role.

3 ILBs taken in 1st round, two in the top 12. Who says ILBs don't have value in today's NFL?

And OT Brian O'Neill taken at 16, the 2nd OT chosen. There's a riser, I'd hoped to get him in the 3rd.

Derwin James at18? I'd have to think hard about letting him get past us.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

The pendulum has swung away from pass heavy offenses back to a more balanced approach, meaning more emphasis on the run, and defending against it. However, I still believe that the easiest positions to find good, all-round athletes that can be developed are linebackers. It may just be a weird occurrence to see 3 ILBs, just like last season that there were only 2 OL taken, late (#20, #32), in the first round.

Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network has his first mock draft up and has us taking:

                    PICK

                    17

Derwin James - S, Florida State

James was made to play in Gus Bradley's defenses. He's a more explosive version of Kam Chancellor.
