Weddle had a pedestrian 40 and he turned out okay. But that was the knock on him before the draft, and the knock on him as an NFL player -- great instincts and awareness, but slow catch-up speed. His anticipation masked his lack of wheels, though.

While I totally understand it could ward teams off, I wouldn't allow it to be the be-all-end-all assessment as to whether or not to grab this guy.

Absolutely. A 40 isnt the end all be all. If hes there we might have to take him. Great value. But mack wilson is also great value. Im torn on them. So im hapoy with both.
There has to be something we don't know. Are they scared cuz he might be viewed as a slow box safety??

Agree. I wouldn't mind the pick, but there are still good safeties to drop.

Good points...one of my biggest knocks on Addae was poor instincts...failure to move up and make play...poor recovery...
