Very happy for the people of Kansas City and the Royals. Has to feel great after so many down years. In the late 70s through mid-80's they were one of the class franchises. Nice to see them restored to that position. I have to say I just love watching them play. They pitch well, have a lights-out bullpen, play great D and play smart. It's a kick watching them get that merry-go-round offense going. Shows you there's more than one way to win in the Majors. The Padres could and should pay attention.

I'd be happy with finding just one way to win. Go San Diego Pads.

I know. I echo your sentiments 100%. Isn't it great watching a line up that always has a shot at scoring runs? They don't strikeout with two strikes - they just get busy hitting!. They make contact.
I listened to their games on local radio every night in 1975 and 76'. They were very good back then. George Brett was awesome. So was Hal McRae. So many good hitters.
And now again they are complete.
Dale Sveum is who we should have hired as Manager.

Well, he had a horrible record managing the Cubs. But it might have been a little more inspiring hire than Green. I'm still wondering why Dave Roberts isn't getting a shot.
