tonight is the NBA Draft
Philly has supposed told Ben Simmons they are taking him #1.
the Lakers are supposedly taking Brandon Ingram #2 unless there is a blockbuster trade.
(I'm still hoping they can trade the pick and possibly Randle to the Kings for Boogie, but that's probably not enough... and Clarkson is a RFA so he can't be dealt yet, and I don't want to give up Russell)
The Celtics are #3, but they have been actively shopping the pick.
After the top 2 picks, there is no real clear cut opinion: Kris Dunn, Dragan Bender, Jaylen Brown, Jamal Murray, and Buddy Heild make up the next tier...maybe include Marquese Criss in there.
THEN, it gets really interesting. Franchises can be literally made by draft smart at the end of the 1st, and with 2nd round picks.
The NBA draft is great for 2 reasons.
1. The number of trades, and people moving up and down, lots of current players get moved for picks.
2. It's short. It's only 2 rounds, and it's over in one night.
