We need nine wins in a row. I am hoping for .500.

Right now, we're ahead or the Rockies and the Diamondbacks. So we're not the worst.

Sucks the two teams I like the least are way ahead of us.

Check out the recent performances of Boxberger and Brach.

We just won one in a row, but, for some reason, that put us 11 games under .500. I must have read the record wrong before.
Good to see us hurt the Dodgers.

Hall of Famers? No. Former Padres better than current Padres? Certainly.

You mean they don't smell like used diapers filled with Raiders fans?

Padres breaking out the thundering lumber tonight. Three hits in only 8 innings so far. Hopefully the pitcher continues to perform well. But, this is baseball, which means that guy who is pitching a shutout will be replaced soon.

Ross gets very little support. He's having a great year.

Every pitcher gets very little support. The team is hitting .215 and the team ERA is second best in the NL.

True. But I feel bad for Ross in particular. He's having a fantastic season.

Bump for another 5-game winning streak and 16-8 record since All-Star break. When you get into a winning mode, contributions come from everywhere. Liriano could be our answer to Puig as long as he stays disciplined with his swings. Some of our homegrowns like Liriano, Vincent, and Quack are starting to show something in the second half of this season, along with Gyorko's resurgence. And No.1 Bullpen in the majors continues.

The only Padre I would put in the category as better than current Padres is Rizzo, who hit his 27th tonight for the Cubs. I thought they gave up on him way too quickly and Cashner in return was always a risk with his injury history--Plus he's not likely to give the team a discount when arbitration arrives. Ross has passed him up this season as our No.1--much more consistent than Cashner this season even when he was healthy.
