My concern isn't with the player, I like Murray. My concern is with the trade up. A 3rd round pick is a top 100 player.

If we don't trade up, there was a reasonable chance either Murray or Queen would still be on the board at 37. (Queen went at 28).

So rather than trading up to 23 for Kenneth Murray, I would rather have drafted whichever of Murray or Queen (or J.K. Dobbins if neither) is available at #37 and OT-Josh Jones or CB-Troy Pride at #71.

Also, if we draft Troy Pride at #71 at a position of need we wouldn't feel compelled to waste #186 on a random Notre Dame player with weak odds to make the team.

Alohi is a SS/DLB/NCB and was the captain of said Irish team.
Gilman & Pride, who also lacks ball separation/ballskills, play different positions in the secondary.
Alohi will absolutely make the team but will be active on game days as a STA.

K9 has Elite Impact traits. The others do not.

              I change my answer to
              37. TE Cole Kmet
then trading our 4th to move back into the second round for
              Chase Claypool
              keep the rest the same.

No chance they would be there. If we dont draft Murray at 23, Baltimore would of at 28 if not someone else before that. Balt ended up drafting Queen. Queen wouldnt have lasted to 37 either. I wasnt a big fan of Queen anyways for us. For me at LB, it was Simmons, Murray or Wilson is who i liked but never projected Murrray to us because i thought we would pick a QB or OT and we wouldnt get him.

I dont see the big deal. We got a top 32 player for a top 100 pick. Lets see what he can do instead of already saying we should have done this or that. What 3rd rounder besides Keenan has done a fucking thing for us lately? Hell we have to go back to 2004 when we drafted Nick Hardwick.

Not a fan of Epenesa. great production good hand usage. Avg athlete at best for his position. Not traits i want for having to get past mamoth athletic olineman.

I look forward to his watching this young man on this defense. His character seems to be exactly what you want. We don't have a guy like him with the speed and instincts so hoping he now is another guy teams have to gameplan around on the inside.

At least Perryman is a decent run-stopper when healthy...(not so good in coverage)...

I suppose we can also add to the Listless LB List Donald "Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde" Butler, who played well before his $51 mil second contract, then slacked so bad afterwards the Bolts had to cut him just 2 years later...sad that our LB's have had so many issues...hopefully Murray and Trank will reverse that...

I don't think Epenesa will be as great as he was for Iowa. What I do think is that he'll average 5-10 sacks, and play the run well. I'm also looking toward Ingram pricing himself off the team. I think in 10 years, he'll have a Justin Smith type of career. Not elite, but solid.
