I always take exception to this falsity as I've been to a ton of "home" games, every game sold out, not hard to do when it holds 25k.

The majority of games were more Charger fans than opposing fans (other than the traditional good traveling road teams, Steelers, Packers, etc.). Granted a 66/34 split doesn't look great on tv but where all this flys out the window was when the Chargers played at the Rams Coliseum.

I wanted to go to that game to support the Bolts thinking we'd have like 25% of the fans, when I was there I was blown away, a 50/50 split, 35k Rams fans 35k Chargers fans! Why you may ask? $20 tickets as opposed to $200 tickets, $10 parking as opposed to $100 parking.

So the no fans thing is b.s. I'd say we have more nationwide/worldwide fans than several teams out there. The Rams stadium gets invaded and they've burnt several cities from moving. Las Vegas is going to be overrun by opposing fans due to it being a transient city with fans of other teams already out there, it's a warm weather destination city in the winter, cheaper flights, cheaper hotel rooms, party atmosphere for a Pats or Steelers or Cowboys fans to go to Vegas for the weekend to see their team play.

I was at that Rams game and yea the amount of Chargers fans was staggering at least 50/50 split. I would also say the Chargers defense is looking forward to playing slip and fall Gordon even more than he is looking forward to playing the Chargers. I would not be surprised if he were “injured” thee first game against the Chargers

Sorry man, when your stadium holds 27K and half of those are opposing fans....you have no fans. LA dont want the Chargers and are showing it. And saying 66/34 split, i think is generous.
Id love to have the stadium filled with Bolts fans 100% but they didnt get that in SD though it was much better than what it is now.
Take exception if you must, but it is what it is.

You disregarded several things such as you said it doesn't sell out when every game was sold out, strike one.

When the bolts played the browns, bills, titans, cards, bengals, colts, skins, etc. it was sometimes 80% to 90% bolts fans, I get it on the 49'ers, Steelers, Packers but their fans did that to the Rams as well, so it was on average a 66/34 strike 2.

You are correct they didn't get that in SD (I've been to games in SD where it was a 66/34 split as well) but that is the same reason they don't get it in L.A. nor do the Rams the Rams Coliseum holds 70k and they were invaded by Seahawks, Packers, Chargers, 49'ers fans so do the Rams have no fans either even though there field was bigger? (I live in L.A. and never see any Rams or Chargers fans walking around), it is because just like Phoenix & Jax/Miami/T.B. it is a warm weather transient vacation city (the Cardinals constantly get invaded by Bears fans, etc.) bringing me to my final thought for someone who lives in Vegas you ignored the part that this is going to happen to the Raiders as well, strike 3.

Whatever......empty seats shows a stadium that fans didn't want to attend,. Whether or not they call it sold out. Doesn't mean actual fans bought the tickets. That's a false stat and whoever bought them cant give them away. I hate bagging on my team like this but LA was never a good supporting City,....especially if they dont want you , but the NFL just wanted the TV revenue.

As for the Raiders, I don't care if they sell out but there are many Raiders fans here and were before they moved here.

Calling strikes is pretty funny in any case. It's only speculation on your part.

Those brokers bought them for $250 a pop and were trying to sell them for $350 a pop, (not to mention there were few parking spaces available for $100! otherwise ticketed and towed) wasn't a good price point to do business at, selling them to opposing fans for $1 wouldn't of helped our cause. L.A. is not a good supporting city for the Bolts or the Rams (Rams had to cover up 30k seats every game so it didn't look empty) or even if the Bears or Packers moved there it would happen to them as well, or SD or PHX or JAX or MIA or Vegas because those are transient cities with people who moved away from their area and already have a team, and because they are warm weather touristy cities to where a Bills Mafia fan freezing in Buffalo wants to take his family on vacation in the winter isn't going to spend all their vacation money to go to Green Bay they are going to spend it going to Vegas or L.A. There were plenty of empty seats in S.D. as well.

I'm sure there are Raiders fans in Vegas just as there are Chargers fans in L.A. (recall my Coliseum game paragraph that Fouts Fan backed me up on), it doesn't take away there are thousands of transplanted other fans there when their team plays there they will go support them, not to mention the $59 flights and $19 hotel rooms for other teams fans to go and party for the weekend to see their team.

This isn't a Chargers only problem, the media bags on the Bolts because they chose that small stadium with outrageous prices but it happens to the Jags, the Rams, the Cards and it will happen to the Raiders because they are all transient warm weather vacation cities.

Seriously the Raiders have no idea what is coming. I get it there are some Raider fans in Vegas but every city with an airport has flights to Vegas. That stadium will be full every week with opposing fans. It will be worse that LA or even the old soccer stadium.

When $750 million is paid by taxpayers I don't think the raiders care as long as there filling up the stadium. Come one come all we're rollin in the dough! Yeah Bay!:rimshot:

I am assuming a large percentage of PSLs were bought by casinos. That will be a great comp to get people to stay at their casino and gamble.

I agree whole heartily, just like all the brokers who bought the tickets at the soccer stadium. It will be sold out for sure. Just not as many Raider fans as they are used to.

It's paid by hotel taxes, not by us. We as locals aren't getting taxed at all for the stadium. So those coming to see their team and the teams that come here are paying that bill. Same effect. But I don't think it will have as many opposing fans as you all hope it will. Sure it will have some though. It won't be as bad as the Chargers have experienced. We have one of the smallest global fan bases and why we get no love by pundits and why our players don't get as much recognition and they would elsewhere.

The whole stadium split seemed like a fail setup by design. Setting tickets at $200+ guaranteed normal Lunch pail fans can’t afford season tickets. Brokers bought 60% of season tickets every year because they know they can sell 10k of them to an out of town weekender from a traveling fan city. Figure they spend $500 on air x2, $300/night hotelx2, they are in $1600 for a couple before they buy a ticket. $1800 vs $2000 total isn’t changing the equation a lot. They don’t pay $100 parking, they don’t have cars, they Uber to the game from the hotel or bar.

It should be easier to get locals to buy tickets at $70 than $200. This will be the first real look at if they even have a shot in LA, imo. We will see.

Re the Raiders - yup - they are gonna get the first taste of vacation destination city and most locals are from somewhere else. LA bangers will drive to Vegas for games and parties, so some of that traveling ban will be their own club
