Wrote this up awhile ago, but never posted, so my apologies for anything out of date/antiquated, as have attempted to update it some, albeit am not as up on things as have been in the past.

QB * Tyrod Taylor, Justin Herbert, Easton Stick * fairly unspectacular bunch atm. Taylor is unlikely to throw into double coverage w/Williams, and if and when he does, how many INTs would it take to put an end to that notion ?? and know many of you here are looking forward to having running/mobile QBs, and how does a QB on the move do for Keenan’s timing routes ?? who outta these three QBs is gonna be able to help take Joe Reed’s game to another level ?? does Taylor get in rhythm w/HH ?? or does the run game take precedence w/dump offs outta the backfield and in the flats ??

And don’t think Herbert should see the field, albeit think it’s gonna be tempting as gotta think Williams would benefit from Herbert @the helm, albeit Tyrod is known for his longball as well. not sure Herbert won’t have timing/anticipation issues of his own, and wonder if he’ll have the composure/time to wait on Williams and/or others running their routes ?? will add that can’t help but be impressed w/Herbert’s development to date, especially re: his intangibles…. do think that holding him back is the better route, as the more we can do to build his confidence, the better.

And know a lot of us were impressed w/Stick taking off on foot into the second level during last year’s preseason, but can’t imagine those of us paying attention are ready to give his NFL passing game/grade the benefit of the doubt just yet. Speaking for myself, would be remiss to pass on a Trey Lance next offseason, or the like that might rise in the draft, if we are to pick early again, as think that if we are going w/a new RPO model, which calls for a mobile/running QB, that we would do well to move in the direction of the RB position, and be more stocked than not there, as we were overly spoiled by Phil’s durability/longetivity @QB.

sad to see Holly go, but seems like you were prescient w/the likes of Bradwell, who the more I read on him, the more I like the guy.... (can he throw on the run ala LT outta the backfield ?)

Nabers looks like at least a ps keeper ??

and surprised a bit by Meeks.... what happened to Donte Vaughn ??
Didn’t hear/see any of RR in camp and he has been cut. Doubt he makes the PS.

Bradwell and Nabors are 2 I hope to see on the PS.

      D. Vaughn didn’t make any noise in camp.
      Q. Meeks are the size, agility, skillset, and speed to play safety. I haven’t seen much of him to make an accurate current assessment though.

RB * Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelly, Derrick Gore, Darius Bradwell, Bobby Holly, Gabe Nabers * hope they let Kelly do the heavy lifting and let Ek ‘n JJ fill in as need be. Could be fairly spectacular back there, and still open to drafting another RB next draft to fill the cup to the brim here.

WR * Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Joe Reed, KJ Hill, Anthony Johnson, Tyron Johnson, Jaylen Guyton, Jason Moore, Darius Jennings, Dalton Schoen, Jeff Cotton * sorry to report that the RAS is not a viable metric for determining WR prowess, and that the wait three years before you come to any (rash) decision (@WR) is a myth, as RAS has not shown to be indicative of wideout production when moving from college to the pros, and as first year receivers average 300 yards/season, tack on another 100 yards to their avg year two, and actually regress 11 yards year three, albeit the both of Mike Williams and Dontrelle Inman were exceptions to the rule.

In short, any coach who doesn’t have KJ Hill on the field at most all times is in jeopardy of losing his job. Allen/WR1, KJ/WR2, MW/WR3, JR/WR3a…. also think that Keenan’s production might really suffer as the Philabusters/bashers still underestimate how valuable Phil was in relation to Keenan and others catching Charger footballs.

TE * Hunter Henry, Virgil Green, Donald Parham, Stephen Anderson * lookin' a tad on the thin side here, given Henry's injury history bug, and the relative uncertainty re: Parham ?? Virgil is a solid and personally think he should be given some targets.

A lot of qbs being let go. So I’d be inclined to try to sneak Stick onto the PS as better qbs are available to teams that need one.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

OT * Trey Pipkins, Bryan Bulaga, Ryan Roberts, Joshua Dunlop, Tyree St. Louis, Storm Norton * got a good feelin’ bout RR, and hopefully Bulaga plays a meaningful amount of games, albeit we do have Sam to fill in @RT if and when he/BB misses a coupla few games. Crossin’ the fingers w/Pip, albeit don’t think we’re gonna play many games if any, and def will be an aborted season, so not sure how significant most any of the positions will impact things, as for me most important is draft position.

Gonna add that wouldn’t mind see Lamp get some love @LT, and think that Sam, Storm and Trey are all more RTs than left, which is a problem, as it seems AL's personnel rationale/motivation on the line is that if you can run block you are my kinda Olineman ?? Personally would rather see a predominately pass blocking LT, of which eye suspect that Lamp and/or Pips is our best chance there ?? will also add that am now of the mind that we will actually play some games, if not make it thru the season, and even postseason ??

OG * Trai Turner, Dan Feeney, Forrest Lamp, Sam Tevi, Trent Scott, Nate Gilliam * this position is looking really/extremely solid in the upcoming draft, so if Turner’s contract demands or Lamp’s talent/injury history rears its head, thinkin’ we should look to fortify the position come draft time, and…. would really love to see Feeney backing up TT @RG.

My add here is that still don’t understand why we don’t play Feeney at RG, even if he is Trai’s backup, otherwise am on the phone to SF and working out the best trade possible for him. Will also add that if we end up picking early in the second half of the first round of the upcoming draft, we should have our pick of the guard litter. And in case you’re wondering, see Tevi as more a backup RT/RG, than starting LT.

OC * Michael Pouncey, Scott Quessenberry, Cole Toner, Ryan Groy * would like to keep Groy as a Pouncey hedge, as not sold on his/MP’s durability, nor Qberry as our longterm solution at center.

Will also add that think it is a big mistake to slot Feeney in at center. Can he anchor against any NT in the league, and more importantly does he have anything close to the mindset/wherewithal it takes to play the OC ?? and know that I got a big N-O from Ninj when I suggested signing him last season, but seem to recall that Groy has actually produced when playing/starting for other teams ??
