Another must-win game. And what looked like a semi-gimme game 3 weeks ago is now looking like anything but. The message is really the same: No room for error. We exhausted our 2 (possibly) 3 mulligans already (AZ, KC, MI). Finding 4 wins out of our next 6 is going to take something akin to Divine Intervention, it would appear.

Since when has anyone thought the Rams game a semi-gimme? Anyone who does hasn't been paying attention. We should win, but it ain't close to being a gimme!

I thought I was using it at least in some context. Meaning, we had 2-3 games this year that we could have afforded to lose (the analogy of a bad shot in golf that you are allowed to 'do over'), and we squandered all of those early.

I sometimes need a mulligan when the porn isn't good.

No, what I meant was it was Opening Day, we had only the pre-season to make a determination about how good the Cardinals MIGHT have been. There was no "are" about it. Weren't we favored in that game? Or very close (like they had the home field 3 pts, so it was really a wash).

We know they're a good team NOW, after 10 games. But I don't think anyone thought they'd be the best team in the NFL (arguably) after 10 weeks.

I think thelightningwill was making claims to that effect. And some of us, despite OIP's protestations, thought they might be challenging for the division crown.
