The ravens fans should be complaining about the 14+ penalties on their team. We had far too many ourselves extening 3rd and long drives.

Amazing win. Didnt think we had a chance ince we went down 10 again. 21 points in the 4th. We need to remember that.

What's worse is that a flag flies so often on 3rd and long, and the call ends up being a 5 yard holding penalty, automatic first down. No wonder fans start thinking conspiracy when it's such an easy out, it's like pressing a reset button.

I probably would've had an issue with that call because Floyd was being pretty physical, too. But, in light of the multiple drive extending PI calls the Ravens got, the coach and fans really need to STFU and deal with it, because they got bailed several times on similarly questionable calls.

How was the call that gave us the ball at the one yard line at the end of the game even remotely "questionable"?! The defender did not play the ball at all and grabbed and held Floyd and prevented Floyd from making a play on the ball when the ball was in the air. It was the most obvious of all of the PI calls all game long.

Was listening to the game on the long drive home on Sunday. The announcers were saying that the M.O. for the Ravens in this game was to throw the ball up and hope for a PI on 3rd and Long.

Can't have it both ways Mr. Harbaugh.
          Prediction:
          Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

And this weeks in depth debate begins...

Glad it doesn't involve that faux #1 WR that just put up 11 catches 121 yards and 2 TD's.

I agree with Yuba, in that call was the least debatable one.

What Harbaugh needs to do, is to teach Dumerville how to line up onside. Was called for it and accepted 3 times. Was called for it once, that the chargers declined and accepted the play. And, to be honest... he lined up offside again, the play right after he was called for it the last time.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

Agreed. There was SOME question of whether it could be offensive PI instead...but if you watch the replay it's CLEAR that Floyd is simply trying to get his arms up to try to catch the ball; he wasn't pushing or trying to out-muscle the defender in anyway.

But you're absolutely right. The defender had his back to the ball almost the entire time and had one arm wrapped around Floyd's back/waist. Easy call IMO.

I liked Fouts comments on Dumervil "He needs to go to the eye doctor."

He used to line up offsides often when he was in Denver too so I guess he just tries to cheat the system or he really does need to see the eye doctor.

There's contact every play, so PI calls are always subjective. Let's get one thing straight man, your opinion is never a fact. So do us all a favor and stop acting like your opinion is the only one with merit, particularly when there are multiple reasonable parties arguing different sides. I stated both players were being physical. Obviously, Fouts and the Ravens' fans and coaches agreed. I thought most of the PI calls this game were unnecessary. I'll make the parallel to an umpire calling a wide strike zone. I'd prefer an ump to call the proper strike zone, but if he's going to call it wide, at least be consistent. So I think the Floyd PI call was consistent with PI in terms of the way it was called this game, but you could make the case that Floyd also mugged the db. The receiver usually wins on PI calls where there is clear contact from both parties, but don't try to tell me Floyd wasn't also using his hands on the corner.

Lastly, I have no desire to debate you ad nauseum, I've stated my views clearly, and I'll let them stand on their own here.

FWIW, I thought it could have gone either way. It was clear that PI was the call to make there (on someone), unlike on some of the previous PI calls. The call went our way, for once. Yay!

Correct call, imo. The call on Wright was much more ticky tack, but I'm an unapologetic Charger fan that still thinks Ray Rice only got 28 yards on 4th and 29, so....
