Some people talk like we got our asses handed to us even after the team wins. Nothing in the game day thread yesterday surprised me or seemed to be unusual (which isn't a compliment).

The reality is that we lost to the better team. Better overall talent, healthier and better coached. If we somehow meet again in the playoffs, I don't see why the result would be any different. Sucks, but it's the bitter truth.

Every team can be beaten. But IMO the likely hood of a different result would not be real high in a rematch, especially on the road. But I'd love to get another shot at them!

I feel the same way. I'm pretty disheartened. If we're that bad against a team missing 2 of it's best players, I don't have much certainty going against Ware and Miller. Although we still have a chance to make the playoffs, I'm not too optimistic

I'm not sure that they are more talented or that much better coached. I just don't see there being a gulf between them and us, even with our injury problems. Our o-line is the weakest unit between the two teams but I see quite a bit of talent elsewhere which closes the gap.

The gap appears to me to be one long play that was a flat-out screw up, one retention series and a McCoy tent fold. Two of the three are 100% in our control so are fixable. Moreover, IMO they don't trump a game in which the defense basically held Brady in check. Yes, the Pats won this one and overtook us in the 4th. But if we played this game again or three times I wouldn't bet against the D replicating the performance or against the offense doing better, particularly with a credible punter.

Well, one thing in the GDT surprised me: That Yuba and I didn't go after each other for 5+ pages over some minor incident in the game.
