Lynn sucks. He is NOT a motivator. When after half time: You team does NOT adjust and tighten up the problem areas. Play calling becomes complaisant. If you cannot figure out it is a coaching issue, you haven't been watching football long.

The more baffling thing to me is why isn't he fired yet?
Not just that but the team has a habit of coming out flat after halftime. There is something wrong there. A good coach would recognize that and work to correct it, not just watch it happen and complain about it later.

Only 4 NFL teams have called at least 28 first down runs with 1-10 point second half lead: 8-0 Steelers, 6-2 Seahawks, 5-3 Raiders, & Anthony Lynn's 2-6 Chargers.

      Chargers runs gain 2.6 YPC.

After halftime vs Jax they outscored them 23-15

After halftime vs Panthers they outscore them 9-3.

After halftime vs Bengals they outscored them 10-6.

After halftime vs Saints they held them to 3pts in 3rd quarter.

After halftime vs high-powered KC offense, they held them to 3 pts in 3rd quarter. And 20 points in regulation. Before losing to last year Superbowl champ in OT. And by the way the play call was there but the rookie made a poor decision throw for interception.

After halftime, they outscored Raiders in 6-3 in 4th quarter.

And let's not forget Allen and Bosa and Harris and Ekeler were lost for parts or all of these games and then he had to play backups in 2nd half.

If you cannot figure out there are a lot of moving parts and a lot of context to each game, each quarter, each play, then clearly you watch football from a very shallow viewpoint.
And your Lynn sucks statement is as shallow as a take gets

But it's not baffling to me to see fans looking for scapegoats during a rough stretch of losses .....instead of asking is the process and culture that this HC put in place, does it have the players interested and dedicated to working hard and improving. And have they had opportunities based on those game plans and halftime calls and adjustments to make plays that win games. The fact is the answer here is yes.

This is funny! Dude.... When you are setting records for blown leads EVERY WEEK then I think it's safe to assume it has something to do with coaching. So so sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many winnable games at the end but poor clock management and play calling dooms us every game. You're excuses are note however. All those stats.... Still somehow we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every time. Just dumb blind luck I guess....

And when you are getting these double digit leads it also has something to do with the coaching as well as players actually on the field. I mean Allen had 2 catches and a TD vs Saints in early 1st quarter. 12 snaps played, but got back spasms and missed rest of game. Bosa got dinged and missed the 2nd half of that game. Badgely needs to pick his team up and make the game winner. So it's was back ups blowing leads. If you get a 20 yard lead in a race and pass baton to me and I lose the race....well it sucks for you and your coach but what could you do, you got injured and what could coach do. I'm the next man up. And I'm not on your level. I'm a step slower.
The losses are frustrating and not acceptable. Lynn won't make any excuses. He will just work. If at some point his time ends here, then it does. Until then I am still driving the Lynn bandwagon.

This post quoted above makes reference to the game against the Saints and yet demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of when the momentum shifted in that game and what caused it to happen.

The score was 20-3 and we had the ball at our own 18 yad line with 2:30 left to go in the first half. What needed to happen was for us to control the ball and possibly even add on to our lead. Our best approach would have been to call passes and get first downs.

So what did we do? We called a running play that lost two yards followed by another running play that went for no gain. With only one chance, Herbert was not able to secure the first down through the air and we were forced to punt, leaving the Saints with 1:59 on the clock. Once they had the ball, did anyone really expect us not to give up our obligatory late in the half points? Gus called his usual soft prevent us from winning defense and the Saints marched down the field for their first TD of the game.

For the totally, utterly and completely clueless out there, that was the moment where the game was lost. Similar (run, run) momentum changing play calling was a huge factor in the loss to the Bucs. Against the Broncos and Chiefs, that kind of play calling turned TD opportunities into FG opportunities in narrow losses that should have been wins.

And that is just Lynn's run heavy emphasis on the offensive side of the ball. Add in the awful defensive game plans, that lack of positive halftime adjustments, and the horrible time management and it is a wonder that our team ever wins.

All of those games should have been victories and would have been with a competent in game tactical approach. The coaching really, really, really does matter. It is turning our wins into losses on a weekly basis.

Lynn certainly is one of the leading candidates in considering who the worst head coach in the NFL is. Nobody has underachieved with his team's talent level as much as Lynn has--nobody.

If Badgley had made that first FG, the raydur game wouldn't even have been in question. This kicker has missed more FG attempts than anyone I can recall in recent memory, and he is STILL on this team??!! Chargers could have won at least three games if it wasn't for the missed kicks. Man...I'm just not going to go there. The defense gave up 28 points before the Chargers defense started showing up to play. It's not his best year but then he's a bit psyched out due to piss poor special teams blocking I bet!
