That seems optimistic to me especially after the soccer stadium games.

There are defenses in NFL that were horrible and could not stop anyone like KC, but they reversed that in about 2 years of drafting and FA signings......yet Chargers have spent years trying to rebuild the defense and still they cannot stop anyone when it counts....any team that actually needs to score on chargers can score at will once they open up their offenses and throw the ball downfield...... that is why teams can dick around and experiment in first half , fully knowing that they can throw at will when they want to......

Gus should have been fired long ago..... his super conservative system is ineffective against today's rules and pass happy offenses.....all of the best defenses today are aggressive blitzing defenses that blitz most of the time not just once or twice a game like gus does.... and gus is horrible at who he chooses to do the blitzing..... he waited till late in the season to put Murray in the box where he belongs..... he does not belong running in deep coverage...... Murray is a great Blitzer and run defender, but Gus had him in coverage most of sesason...... bad mis use of talent..... and what kills me most of all is his pressers, he is always smiling and saying how he loves his guys but they just make a few mistakes.... even after we lose!!!!
Yeah I havent even watched any of the coaches pressers this season.Dont wanna puke on my computer.

He didn’t really high point the INT in his hands because it wasn’t high enough vs his location but ok in general. He caught it against his body just under his left armpit/shoulder pad.

Been waiting to see any comments about Anthony’s ST adjustment to put WRs out there for the Hail Mary - 2nd order thinking there but not a word one way or the other - anyone comment on the fact he put WRs on the field? Any comments on ST play last week vs prior weeks? Its amazing what a coach can do if someone gets his attention.

Why it took 4 years to get his attention to ST ... uh ... ???

                The narrative is:
Chargers do well = players credit
Chargers do bad = coachs credit

They haven't done well since 2018. Barely beating injury riddled teams at the end of the season who were lousy when complete is not a hallelujah moment.
No one's giving anyone credit here, save for a few still pitching for the coaching staff.

Yep...some of the wins we've had this season were lucky...nothing to brag about...for example, in the Donk game, if Jeudy catches one or two of those drops he had, especially that one in the EZ, the Donks score an additional TD and win...

If our corners could catch a couple of easy interceptions, or our receivers could catch TDs....

After being historically bad, its been much better since Lynn focused his attention on the problem. It pretty much puts to bed the myth that the Charger's special teams unit historic bad play was due to being one of the historically least talented: as if the Chargers were fielding a team of Division II players on the unit. COACHING MATTERS! As a head coach, his presence in the meeting room sends a message to the unit that special teams matters. The reason why players complained about playing on special teams was because it was undervalued by Lynn. Norv never bothered with special teams unless the unit became a joke; one Charger player who transferred from Dallas, said that players were not listening to Norv's special teams coach during those meetings. Probably the same thing was happening with Stewart. i'll bet Marty would spend time in those meetings. A head coach hanging out at special teams meetings sends a message to those players. . Its nice to know when your head coach has your back as an assistant coach.

Lynn's initial instinct to have 3 coaches focus on the unit was typical Lynn: every coach countermanding the other's instructions. Too many cooks in the kitchen has possibly been the recurrent problem with the Oline during Lynn's latter tenure.

God, this guy needs to go!

Bad luck and good luck have pretty much canceled each other out this season.

                          This is a 6 - 10 football team.
