    Split Safety Coverage

In the 1990s, Bill Belichick and Nick Saban snuck away together and holed up in a motel room and each brought a box of film and a projector, and they watched coverages: specifically, the topic of this summit, was man coverage versus zone coverage.

Saban is teaching a master class, on split safety coverage.

Everyone playing so many 3 and 4 WR-ish formations, that ALL NFL teams are playing a lot of cover 3 these days. It is by far the most common coverage across the NFL. It is very, very tough to cover 3 or 4 players running deep with 2 S. Even if all the players can't run that well, the 3 WR are getting deep pretty quick to challenge the S.
