Chargers oline ranked 29th in the league

Hard to image that there were actually 3 teams (Dolphins, Rams Bills) with worse ranked lines than ours.

    29. San Diego Chargers (18th last season)

Pass Blocking Ranking: 27th, Run Blocking Ranking: 26th, Penalties Ranking: 11th

Stud: He’ll never be confused as elite, but King Dunlap is a solid enough left tackle that can get some push in the run game.

Dud: Pick a guard, any guard. We’ll go with Johnnie Troutman who just didn’t deliver in his 790 snaps. The whole interior is ripe for ripping up.

Breakdown: They don’t give you the cleanest pocket and the moves they’ve made haven’t turned them into road graders. D.J. Fluker concerns you with his pass protection and yet he’s arguably the only guy you’d guarantee will be starting for the team next year even if it is at guard.

I'm concerned about that penalty ranking, we need to work on our holding, chop blocking and leg whipping techniques.
Forget it Donny you're out of your element

So I guess they're just lolly gagging during mini camp and practices??

Maybe it just comes down to injuries or certain players not having what it takes. Fans always are saying how they need to improve on this or that, Sometimes these guys are tapped out on they skills and potential. They can keep practicing and perfecting they're technique etc, Untill they're bluenin the face, But it'll never make a difference.

          It's a wonder that Rivers isn't dead.

We need to build a team around this dude. We have been surrounding him with crap and he has been propping us to mediocrity for years. With out an elite QB how terrible would these recent teams have been?

Probably right above the Henning/Ortmanure teams.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Look at what happened when Stan Humphries got knocked into retirement for details.

Serious question....which was worse, Ryan Leaf or Mike Riley?

Comparing Riley to Leaf is not really fair. Leaf was a lazy punk. Riley was a guy trying to coach a team with the worst roster in the league at the time.

I would have thought the question would be Leaf or Gilbride.
