did anybody really think he was gonna have surgery on this? Most the time disc injuries heal on their own with time and therapy. They just had to manage it during the season because he couldn't shut it down enough to let it begin to heal. Mine took about 6 weeks of no strenuous activity that would re-aggravate it and went back to normal without surgery.

I got no response to SDFan. Going to trust what the motocross addict says on this one because he has the most experience with these types of injuries.
      Prediction:
      Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

I think this may be a first! If you do a little research on back injuries it turns out most adults have 1 degree or another of back injury (especially for active people) but most go unreported or treated and eventually heal on their own to where you don't think about it anymore and have a normal life. Its only where you can't resume your normal daily routines they recommend surgery. You can't expect all the tissue and bones to be good as new with all the accumulated abuse/wear on it, but if its not painful, just carry on Philip.

With the way the Chargers hide injuries, nobody really knew how bad it was. Something was hindering him, but that coudl have been the back, his ribs or a combination of the two. Hopefully it's not something that flares back up.
