Were it not for a stray needle, Lynn would have had Tyrod start the whole season leading us to 3-13 record while Herbert would have languished on the bench for the whole season.

We would still not know Herbert's capability.

Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes

Their plan is a complete disaster. If Watson is being traded should be getting the new potential savior in return, be it a top 7 pick or Tua.
Tyrod's money should be going to young players particularly the O Line-sound familiar?-who could potentially make the team good in a few years.

If that Wilson kid is as good as Chris Simms says, the Texans are going to regret not trading Watson for 2 overall and then some
at this point, I’m not sure NYJ makes that trade
        G-Ro knows.

yes, the Texans are a disaster....all this talk now about 5 QBs going top ten or whatever it is.....and thy want to waste a year on a retread QB.
Feel bad for Houston sports fans all things considered. At least the Rockets won a few in the 90s, and even they are tainted because Jordan had to be a gambling addict.....errrrrr try baseball

Does anyone really think that when Lynn announced Herbert as the starter, that it was own doing? His hand was tipped. Lynn didn't have as much control over it like people think he does. It's likely that Telesco and John forced Lynn to make Herbert the permanent starter. This type of stuff isn't revealed in the open.

                  I've always wondered:

                  - Was Lynn too blind to not see the talent in Herbert in TC?
                  - Was Lynn too stubborn or loyal to give Taylor the starting role? or
                  - Herbert didnt show anything in training camp and he was an all of sudden out of this world talent in the game against KC?

Either way he wanted Taylor to be starter so he had some power because only a blind could not see Herbert was a star just waiting to be inserted in the starting line up.

Easy to say all this after seeing the facts but come on... you had to see some of his playing abilities in TC.....

With the abbreviated offseason and no preseason games I can understand why Lynn would be reluctant to anoint Herbert the starter and why Taylor got the nod. I don't understand the stubborn defiance defending Taylor when it was obvious after 1 or 2 games that Herbert brought far more to the table than Taylor could ever dream of doing. I don't know if Lynn got pressure from the front office to play him or if he had to swallow his stubborn pride and grudgingly leave Herbert in. If it was the former, perhaps that is what sealed him getting fired. Regardless, I'm excited for what we can do going forward to maximize Herbert's talent instead of what we saw the O trying to do last year.

Chargers did TT wrong. But if that didn't happen, we wouldn't know about JH. I wish TT the best. The real MVP is the doc who punctured his lung by accident.
