KC the year before also had everyone, save Thornhill, available for the Super Bowl.
Its hard to believe as a Chargers fan that some teams don't have season ending injuries to starters.
Chargers get hit early and often.

All of them had losing records, true. What else?
This is the list of the top 8 teams in AGL. What is AGL you ask? Adjusted Games Lost. It's not a list you want to be high on! It's a ranking of how many games your key players lost to injuries and Covid.
It's pretty simple: if you can't put your talented players on the field...you can't win.
Who graded lowest in AGL? The Tampa Bay Bucs, of course.
What say you? I'll be following up with more thoughts in subsequent posts.

It is not only how many injuries but who they happened to. Derwin James and the O-line were killers. I would argue Drue Tranquill was also big because it left Kenneth Murray alone going through rookie growing pains.
A good injury in hindsight was Tyrod, have to look at all sides of the coin with analyzing analytics.

Quoting from Football Outsiders, the creators of the score:"As you likely intuit, a starting offensive tackle matters more to his team than a special teams player. Adjusted games lost captures that distinction with separate weightings of starters, replacement starters, situational players, and bench players. In addition, the metric adjusts the weightings of active players who appeared on their teams' injury reports prior to playing to account for an anticipated decrease in effectiveness while playing hurt."
