On the subject of edge/OLB players, this writer, Gavino Borquez, believes Nwosu is going to have a "breakout" (cliche) season in 2021 because Brandon Staley is going to unlock his potential. I never have been sure that Telesco was thinking when he drafted Uchenna in 2018, in three seasons Gus Bra never seemed to figure out how to use him. Uchenna's play has not forced offenses to stop double-teaming Bosa. Does anyone believe Nwosu has untapped talent that Staley will unlock in 2021 and turn him into a Pro Bowl caliber player?

He is an effort guy, not a guy who is going to win plays off the line. He is smart, and has good awareness, he just doesn't have the burst or speed to chase QB down. If they hold the ball too long, he can get there, but usually the QB steps up and away from him. He got incredibly lucky back in 2018, and while he technically got 10.5 sacks, if you watch them, you realize he is not even close to the type of player Ingram is.
His coverage is OK for a big OLB, and he can get his hands on the ball breaking the ball up before it gets to the receiver or knocking it down when he rushes, but he can't run all over the field against anyone who can really run.
The comparison which might be closer is the Kyle Emmanuel, but he is a better athlete with better awareness. He will make some plays vs screens and always, always keeps contain.
He is a poor man's starter at OLB, but would be an OK rotational guy. I would rather see him as a run down type of player who rushes the passer on run downs, then comes off the field and plays a bunch on ST.
