same with an explosive offensive weapon to keep the opposing Ds honest.
I don’t claim to know which does more, but as Charger fans we have all witnessed what a great back does to ANY OFFENSE
Williams isn’t LT obviously but qualifies as a weapon in my book.
    Point taken gentlemen.

I wouldn't hesitate to pick a RB in the 2nd round if he was LT

I think there's no LT in that draft.

If we get Slater or Darrishaw @#13, if Walker Little is there @#47, why not? Bookend tackles for the next 10 years...

                I prefer a DB at 47.
The 2nd OL in the 3rd round.

I do as well prefer CB in R2 but if the Chargers did go OT in R1 and R2 - I wouldn't hate it.

Now, a player like Waddle or WR at 13 - I probably would not like very much. But taking possible bookend OTs -- again, want CB but would probably say something like "hell yeah!! LFG!!"

You'd have to scout if one could switch sides. The qualities of good LT and RT and converging as teams move pass rushers around but some guys can switch their footwork and others can't. I can still pass set to the left but I've never done it correctly to the right once in my life, and I tried.

I’ve had this same thought except with Darrisaw at 13 and Spencer Brown at 77. Brown would have a year to develop under Bulaga then gets to play his natural position on the right side. If Pipkins ends up developing then keep him as the swing tackle.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Did you not even watch last season?

I am not sure I would spend a draft pick on a kicker or punter (I haven't scouted K or P), but both positions can have a dramatic impact on the game. Badgely and Long need to step up their games. They are both young players at positions that take time to reach their peak, but they aren't as good as we need if we are going to be a championship caliber team. Neither performed at a level that was so poor they should be cut, but neither exactly cemented the job.

I don't think the Chargers have any position group that I would ignore the right draft pick. We are very thin in the secondary, and the FA rush on OL has left us with little depth there. Even QB could use the right player, although that is the one position group we can probably sit pat.

                        Trust the draft board.

I did that in one mock.

I also religiously trade down in mocks to get Javonte Williams in the early 2nd.
HIs poor 40 time might make him available at #47....i don't care, he has elite acceleration.
