    Verrett vs Cooper

Should be fun to watch the battles over the next many years.

More fun for us than Cooper I think.

true. Has to show he can stay healthy as a smaller player. SC media says Chargers were scouting DB Josh Shaw heavily before the draft. They may see him as a good value selection later on....

Let's just sack Carr, then it isn't an issue.

They are the guys in street clothes on the sidelines.

Pass rusher was our biggest need and still is. It's not like EEN420 doesn't have a point. I think Attaochu will be healthy this year, but that is basically worthless. It just means we know which side of the line the QB is going to roll out into.

Even if both Ingram and Attaochu are both healthy and can play every down, we are super thin at OLB. You have to have a lot of pass rushers or they will be worn out late in the game and be unproductive late in the year.

The inside rush is better, but those two clowns (Liuget and Reyes) need to get their heads screwed on and stop allowing big runs through the D. The ILB could help too, but the DE are the worst offenders. It's not like they can't both dominate vs the run, just that they are either great or they disappear. That shit is understandable when you are dumb rookies still learning the position. But it gets old when they are vets.

As far as the Shelton pick goes, he was drafted by the Browns. If that doesn't tell you he is a wasted pick, I don't know what else does. The Browns are easily the worst drafting team in all of football, and it isn't really close.

Ingram is a huge difference maker for us. When he and Mathews have been healthy the last two seasons, we've won just about every time. But, just like a lot of our players, he's too injury prone. Attaouchu, so far, has shown he's pretty good when healthy.

I'm glad the dude we drafted #1 this year has a history of healthy seasons - at least in college.

Melvin has 6 sacks in three years and hasn't even played two full seasons yet. I'm just not impressed with him. Hopefully he finally breaks out this year but he's looking like another swing and miss by AJ.

                        Wins. That's the difference.

With Melvin Ingram the last 2 years, we're 9-4.

Without Melvin Ingram during that same time, 9-10.
