While I was rooting for more like Brown or Armstead, can not complain about this pick. Position of need, productive and healthy. Good mix.

If he is only half of LT we got a steal. I don't know a lot about him overall as a player but I am loving the video's of him. I would love to see LT get a hold of this kid to have an ear to whisper to. I have read that he looks up to LT.

As others have said, hate giving up draft picks. But if he turns out to be our true next franchise back then that pick will long be forgotten. I am your next newest fan Gordon, your a Charger now.

Houston wanted Gordon was the rumor.

FWIW, Glazer said HOU wouldn't go that direction with Foster and Blue already on the depth chart--He was wrong but Glazer was 14-for-14 until this trade. Most projected DB and LB for Texans Round 1, but there are always surprises Day 1. And doubt TT would have made the trade without strong reasons for it...

Agreed. I think Niners could have bluffed TT and had no intention of ever taking Gordon. They already have a young stud in Carlos Hyde, along with Reggie Bush, and Kendall Hunter at RB. Could have been another team who was ready to trade up with SF, but who knows...

The bolts must have cracked Jerrah's computer and got his draft plans.

Still would like to see us get 2 or 3 more RBs in camp as UDFAs or if we trade for more Day 3 picks...

If Texans were interested at 16 we had to move. The drop off from Gurley/Gordon and the rest of the RB's was fairly steep.

I think there was concern other teams might trade up with Houston to take Gordon too. Who knows, maybe TT will trade back in Round 2 or 3 and get back a 4th. It could happen, and as they said in Wayne's World, "and monkeys could fly out my butt".
