I'll agree with this, and with not being overly judgemental wrt Watt at OC. However it goes both ways. There's no way anybody can say either will be studly this upcoming season based on what happened last year.
    Prediction:
    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

He can stop giving up ground any time he wants to. But that is going to take a level of focus that he just hasn't shown during his career so far. On any given week he may have, but he needs to do it every week. Same with Liuget. Liuget can be dominant one week and disappear the next.

Really hoping for one of those focused contract years out of Reyes and Luiget before the door hits em on the way out.
WRT Reich, I get that our Offense had some severe handicaps, but aside from a game where we ambushed a Seattle team that hardly showed up, Reich has not really shown much. Most espescially the abaility to adjust to what NFL caliber coaches are doing to his offence.

How is the OC supposed to adjust if he can't get everyone blocked? Aren't you assuming that the problem is that he is being to predictable in his playcalling vs not being able to execute because we din't have the personnel?

What? The OC has to have everything perfect to do his job?

There's a pretty massive middle ground between perfect and what we had going for us last season.

                Reich negatives:
                1) always running when 2 backs were on the field - I formation or split back
                2) Sometimes using no-back formations
                3) Appearing to ditch the quick-pass philosophy from the previous year
                4) appearing to ditch the running game too early at times

Not sure if the following are Reich negatives or McCoy negatives
                5) rotating guards
                6) using Donald Brown too often

It is also a bit LOL to blame the OL for the OC being predictable. You're supposed to be predictable when your OL is good (you don't need to be unpredictable because your team can execute).

Predictability is a little hard to avoid when you can't run the ball and the other team knows it. I'm not trying I draw a conclusion either way. Just eager to see what he can do with a whole offense.

Neither am I. Too early to say one way or the other wrt Reich.

We will just have to wait for the rise or fall of the turd Reich to play out.
