Offense DVOA currently really hurt by the two red zone turnovers.

With 16 games on a given weekend, it's safe to say some "pundits" rank based only on a look at the box score and watching a few highlights.

DVOA is quite worthwhile, but it takes a third of the season or so, IMO, before things settle in. If I recall, their DAVE metric is designed for early season eval, but it factors in how the team did the previous year.

Yeah. But even with DAVE it's low sample size for awhile so outliers are overweighted. Sometimes they also don't capture kneel downs properly.

That's where I do like PFFs ability to use discretion and throw out worthless plays.

              A few more blurbs:

The unit to watch was the unit that performed the best, as the Chargers OL held their own against the WFT defensive front. The most encouraging results came from Rashawn Slater, who limited Chase Young to no pressures when they matched up. The team as a whole did just enough to win a tough game, but they'll need more as the Cowboys, who put up a valiant fight against the defending champs, head to SoFi in Week 2.

Guess the Dolphins' win didn't count.
