Except that if they have a lead or it's close, they're going to be running that outside zone stretch stuff all day long.

They will take out more knees this year to compensate.

They still have to be able to block to be affective...run or pass.

I think they'll just ignore the salary cap as usual and trade for a more expensive left tackle.

Given Kubiak's track record, I'd still expect them to be at least competent in the running game.

Will the league award them any compensatory picks for that?

New Donks rule: If number of players you cut block is greater than the number you sign block... Here's a free late 3rd rounder Mr. Elway.

                  Fixed.
                  Prediction:
                  Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Sure, but this takes away from Manning's effectiveness. If he's only a caretaker QB, and no longer the focus point of their offense, good for us. The more they run, the less he'll be in sync with his receivers. And it's awfully hard to run the no-huddle with a bunch of new/inexperienced linemen.

I would not be surprised if Denver takes a big step backwards this year. Running more may help you in the playoffs, but first you have to make the playoffs.

Hopefully that big step backwards will come in 8-10 yard chunks with Manning having to be helped back up off the turf each time.

I basically agree with this, but I think this was true before Clady got hurt. I don't think this most recent injury changes much. Manning will throw much less and the OL will take a step backwards in protecting him especially in obvious passing situations. However, I don't think this will impact Manning's ability to be on the same page with his receivers.

This sets them back, because now they have to split reps among all these guys, and they have no idea who is going to do what. They will figure it all out by the start of the season, but that is time that they would be better served using to get a couple starters integrated among their returning vets. Now, all the time is spent just figuring out who the best players are.
